I ran into two of them today. One of which ran for three minutes straight with no way to pause it (ad for some generic action movie with The Rock).
Not cool

You should use Firefox with an add on.

Everyone always says that. Well, i shouldn't have to. I've resisted getting that add-on for years (i have it for Chrome because i tend to browse more... dangerous sites with Chrome) on matter of principle: the legitimate sites i frequent shouldn't force me to adblock.

I see your point. If the ads weren't so intrusive then I wouldn't have a problem viewing them. However, auto play ads that you can't pause or minimize are very annoying. Reminds me of espn.com with their videos accompanied by an ad usually (game recaps from sportscenter) that auto play when clicking on sports teams.
