Wow, that's more in the black than the RROD writeoff was in the red.

Wow do you think they could lend a guy a few bucks. Maybe a few million.
Well done to them they did their research and found a way of selling mass market as well as pulling Ms and Sony pants down around their ankles.

Impressiv so how much have they made so far of the fiscal year?

Think twice before helping a friend in need.

Nintendo needs to spend that money on buying third party games or dev companies.

... And about US$ 1.1 billion in firts 6 months ?
How high will be net income this FY for Nintendo ? US$ 3 billions ?

kind of disappointed actually. i was hoping 1.5 bil.

the Wii is an epidemic.

I am interested to know whether the profit will keep on increasing the following years, or this is the peak of Nintendo.

i guess this is the peak of Nintendo's abilities to make profit!... Maybe 08 can come close... But i guess Nintendo is at it's upper limit!

I wouldn't believe it...

Fiscal '08 compared to '07:

 - similiar hardware shipment figures

 - lower production costs vrs same retail/shipped prices

 - bigger install base, more software sold (for given number of title released)

 - more titles released

 - significantly more revenue from 3rd-party licensing fees

 - launch of WiiWare

 - (possible?) lower R&D overheads

 - lower unit replacement costs (small % hardware failure in 2nd year)

...

As a guess, I'll peg fiscal '08 as 30-40% growth on fiscal '07.
