Hy, I´ve just merged my european data in a xls - file and wanted to ask you to help me to complete the data, to have a good view over the european market.

If you have more data, just post it in this thread or post the updated xls - file, so we can get a good overview. :)

Data from Norway thank Mummelmann (and me)

Nintendo Wii: latest data from retailers and outlets show approximately 57.000 Wii's have been sold in Norway, whereas almost 20.000 of them were sold in December! The numbers were very low most months before Dec, and they seem to be dropping down to the same levels (approx 600-650 per week).

X-Box 360: Microsoft do not publish oficial numbers in Norway (they did not agree to FagPressen's terms), but we have pretty accurate data nonetheless from retailers. The 360 has moved roughly 45.000 units thus far, with December sales spiking by about 150% (no accurate numbers yet, I'll try to find them!). Weekly sales are roughly 250 (stable, seem to continue now past new years).

Playstation 3: The PS3 has moved approx 57.000 (!) units in Norway, putting it neck a neck with the Wii and a good deal in front of the 360. Weekly sales from launch till first price cut (in june here) were roughly 875, and weekly sales after the price cut (which was 2000NOK off of 6000NOK) were around 1100. Approximately 20.000 PS3's were sold in December alone. The first three weeks of 2008 has seen weekly sales of approx 1250.

Think twice before helping a friend in need.

Why are you using XLSX? Now not everyone can read it properly (I can't even open it), because you need a Microsoft product to do that? Why not use an international standard that anyone can read?

Before you ask, Microsoft's OOXML is not an international standard and has been rejected by ISO as such. The only implementation of it is Office 2007.

Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.

If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

rtf - file: http://rapidshare.com/files/86069574/CGEH_rtf.rtf.html

Here are some numbers for Switzerland:

LTDS (end August):

PS2: 720K
PS1: 485K
NDS: 220K
PSP: 120K
WII: 52K

(Nintendo and Sony Figures)

[BKK2 postet them once]

By end of 2007 : NDS 300'000, Wii 100'000. Primary sources are impossible to find openly. Media Control and SIEA (Swiss Interactive Entertainment Corporation) are _extremely_ tight lipped when it comes to hard numbers (gotta pay big bucks for them, apparently). The only openly available data is the weekly sales list in the form (and it has always looked the same for every week):

1. NDS 2. Wii 3.-5. Sony PS3,PS2,PSP (in changing order). XBox360 never made it into the top 5 (except on halo week).

[and drkohler postet this]

Shall I include these numbers? They´re not from GfK, but better than nothing. ;)
