yea the normal PS2 component-cables work fine with the PS3

did you make sure your LCD is able to decode HDCP?

1080i is an HDCP format.

Yea, I have been in that K-Mart. Brings back some memories from when a friend and I went looking for a Wii for him. Took 8-7 stores, (started at the Wal-Mart on Academy), and we finally found it in that K-Mart.

Man, that was the only store in town with a brand-new 60gb PS3. I found my Wii at a Wallyworld in the South Valley - Rio Bravo N Coors.

But ... things are changing rapidly. This guy wants like 10-12 360 games for his 40gb PS3 sealed. I am thinking about that deal too, seeming I don't really play the games. I  know I want the 60gb, but if I don't have to come out with any money from my pocket ...

Yeah, I know, no BC ... man, that's gonna suck, though ...

Tough call. If it was me, I would keep the PS2, and get the 40Gig for no money out of pocket.

For a few reasons. Aside from the BC, the new one is actualy better. It runs cooler, so it's quieter, and probubly more reliable. Also if you do any Folding@Home, or end up using it a ton, it will use less power. If you fold all year, it could save $30-$50 in power costs

I know you want to dump your PS2 when you get your PS3, but for no out of pocket... tuff call :)
