 Hmm Libellule, my first post in this post is practically only on the fact that people buy the 40Gb without knowing that it cant play ps2 games.

And, of course, Xbox 360 cant play PS2 games but i still have to see somebody coming to me asking me why his new x360 cant play them cause it is so obvious...   On the contrary, 1h ago, somebody did phone us (one more time) asking if there was a bug with his PS3 because he cant play his ps2 games.  We have people asking that every day...



Zones : I still don't understand all the love for Blizzard, what was the last game they developed worth playing?

I think many would be interested in more than 1 game, if interested in GTA and Gran Turismo the PS3 seems the obvious choice, if interested in Halo and GTA the 360 would be obvious.

But still, the most informed consumers will not only take into account the exclusive content Microsoft paid for to get onto the 360 eventually. But also the dev comments that they feel most severely limited by the storage capacity of DVD (assuming a GTA V may well eventually hit the market).

 I totally agree with your first sentence.  :)



Zones : I still don't understand all the love for Blizzard, what was the last game they developed worth playing?

PS3 takes Spain (+portugal?), Italy, Belgium and some other smaller (VG market wise) countries... oh and New Zealand.

In some of the countries It may be due to Wii not even having a proper presence there, ie there are very few Wiis or there hasn't even been an official launch (import from next door countries)
True there are some where Nintendo probably never even built a name for itself in the first place, and Sony has a huge international brand name after all.

Also I am not so sure about the Netherlands Mike,... I vaguely remember them being opposites in terms of Ninty/PS presence (both poor for 360 of course)

At least for the US, according to a NPD survey 360 users are least informed about their console's capabilities.

With regard to compatibility, every PS3 includes PSX compatibility which dwarfs the amount of XBox games which can be played on the 360.

With regard to PS2 backwards compatibility, it says so on the box:



Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

 IMO add at least Germany, France and Japan to the list already. With regard to the Netherlands PS3 games are outperforming their 360 equivalents already:

 Well not a lot to answer to this except that i'm pretty sure something like 99% of the people buying the 40Gb in Europe dont see it or unfortunately dont understand it.

Well, I'm from Belgium and, even if I know more people with a Wii or a 360 than a PS3, Sony's console is indeed really popular over here (many of the owners of other console I know plan to buy a PS3 for games like MGS4... I surely will when that game is released). Btw, my brother works in a shop and they've sold tenth of 40 Go PS3 : people did not care that the console would not play their old PS2 games.

Is there any other belgian on VGchartz ? ^_^
