Forums - General - Any English majors here?

I'm getting a grad degree in English, and am looking for some general tips to help me survive and succeed grad school.

I think that doing things like

-taking extra classes, even undergrad, will get me up to speed

-free writing daily, I prefer poetry as a genre, but like criticism as well

--reading at least 150 pages a day, my head needs to always be in a book or a journal of my writing

Is there anything else that would be recommended? I'm sure that I'm missing a lot.

I think I have Adult A.D.D. Does that count?

Adult Add? Well cool, is it at least the funnier hyperactive version?

Also, I got my undergrad in business and did well in the fresh composition classes, but this is a whole new level of fun that I'm taking on.

Well, i have an undergrad english degree... What you are doing sounds good. Only thing i would recommend is maybe broaden your free writing genres. Do some short stories, maybe some screen plays, that sort of thing. Most important would be the criticism though...
