KZ2 has a great campaign. KZ3 has a very interesting environment that must be seen. KZ3 tried to go a bit casual, and failed at that and retaining the value KZ2 presented, but even in saying that, addition weapons and amazing(opinion only AI) are worth the purchase.

there's one part were you have sneak around. if you fail, you'll die when Capture Trooper comes after you. you'll know to sneak next time, or again risk getting gutted by the Capture Troopers BLADE!!!!!!!!!

give it a purchase.

I love Killzone franchise! I already have KZ 2 and 3, but i would like to buy the trilogy again only because Killzone 1 is on disc.

I would go with a tentative yes. I have only played the campaign for both games so heres my take:

KZ2 - This game was alright but not that great. Graphics were good but very samey - dark tones and buldings mostly. The story was alright but again not great and it had fairly cliched characters. One of the most annoying gripes I had was that the game spawned infinite enemies and to progress you had to push thru them in lulls and the firefights were repetitious and samey (blowing up so and so or taking so and so bunker). However, the ending was pretty good and some of the firefights a lot of fun.

KZ3 - Story was quite better than KZ2 and pretty much everything else about the campaign was much better too. There were a whole bunch of different locations and scenery in the game (which looked bloody awesome), There was a lot of variety in gameplay as you wear mech suits as well as use tanks/vehicles. Also there were no infinite enemies. I liked this a lot.

The Killzone series is great, Some of the most epic fire fights ive seen in any game and the AI is great your enemies and squad don't just run out and get killed on sight. Well worth it for sure

Killzone actually has one of the more interesting and original settings, with the Helghast being off-shoots of humanity and all that. It's a very gritty and brutal world, which kind of draws you in. People have different tastes, but I honestly find that more compelling than aliens.

KZ3 is flat-out gorgeous. I loved the snow zones and the arctic platform levels so much. However, if I had to offer a criticism, it would be that a bit too much of it takes place in corridors and the vehicle sections can be forced and annoying. I also liked the MP a lot, despite not being a MP person, generally speaking.

I'm also very excited for KZ4, considering how KZ3 ended. There is so much potential there. I hope it goes in the direction that it seems to be heading. No spoilers, but I want things to turn from bad to worse.

Also, the upcoming Vita game lets you fight the ISA. That by itself makes me want it.

all off this.

i didn't know you get to fight against the ISA. that's awesome if fighting against the halgast. i think the poll speaks for its self.

OP: if you play this game on its hardest setting, you'll see the most intelligent AI on aconsole game for an fps.

even though it has a psy fi setting, it's the best war simulator around.

the atmosphere is just great, you really feel like sh*t is going down all the time

Hmmmm.....difficult to say. If you're after experiencing the story again, I would say no. The story just isn't that remarkable. Gameplay wise, its pretty solid and has a unique feel. It also has some spectacular sequences, which are fun to replay, especially Killzone 3.

For $40, I would say buy it if you replay games for gameplay. Don't buy it if you replay games for story. I also should add that I remember close to nothing from Killzone 1.

Edit: I voted yes. I think the overall package is worth a puchase.

Yes it is but I'd say get for $30 on Amazon.

i've heard that killzone 2 has an extremely hard platinum trophy

Killzone was never a multiplayer game like Halo and Call of Duty, So here's my answer to ya the single player IS AWESOME!!! and you should totally buy it if you're into FPS's.
