Thats some seriously backwards logic

The first half of this gen it was Nintendo but for the last couple of years it's been Sony for me.

1. I like the exclusives more on the PS3 than on the Wii or 360.

2. I like having the Blu-ray player and being able to access all of the media from my computer from it (the latter I think the 360 can do aswell)

3. I like not having to pay for live or to use things like Netflix.

4. Alot of my friends have the 360 so any games I do want to play on it I still can.

Although I game on Playstation, Nintendo, and PC, I am most supportive of Sony and Playstation.

1. The Playstation Triple is the first console I bought this gen and the first to introduce me to online gaming. This resulted in me purchasing most of my games for it and spending most of my game time on it.

2. Quality hardware. I still have my original PS1 and PS2 (and PSP) all in working condition. [Same goes for my Nintendo consoles] What made Sony stand out is that there console tech makes them stand out well in a media room. PS2 was able to play DVDs back in the day and my PS3 can play Blu-ray movies. Also, of course it can now stream via Netflix or other services. My only disappointment was when my PS3 got the YLOD.

3. Exclusives. Much like Nintendo, I love the many IP's which is why I buy a gaming console.

My most supportive always tends to alternate between gen. I started with the SNES; then I prefered my PS1 over my N64, then my Gamecube over the PS2, and finally PS3 this gen. Maybe it will be Nintendo again now with the WiiU.

Although I'm a HUGE fan of Sony, I still support Nintendo a bit more.

1.) I like the Nintendo IP's more than Sony IP's. Mario and co. just fit me as a gamer better.
2.) Local multiplayer. Just nothing can beat a nice round of SSBB etc., nowhere as good as on Nintendo consoles.
3.) I had more Nintendo consoles as a child as Playstation consoles -> I grew up with Nintendo, a 4 years headstart for Ninty^^

How is having the most fans negative?

It's fanboy logic!  (VGKings post was, I do believe, satirical)

Sony>Microsoft>PC>Nintendo

People always root for the underdog, and having the least amount of fans would be seen as a positive thing.

Also, not to mention the fact that there is a very fine line between fan and fanboy. By looking at this poll, people could say this site is dominated by Sony fanboys.
Then they could point to this thread as proof.

A better indication of this is to personally make a list of every user and analyse their posts(and games collection if they have it) to determine their console of preference. Polls aren't reliable in gathering data since they can easily be fooled.

That's just my backwards logic though.
