Forums - Microsoft - Your ideal launch for the NextXbox

not being over 400 $ -____-

A price no higher than $350, Guarante that something as bad as RROD will never happen again. No fees whatsoever

I'm already saving up to get one plus 3 or 4 launch games. I'm really hoping that Destiny will be a launch game.

I hope Destiny turns out well

I've been thinking about this. (remember I'm only talking about launch)
-New Gold/Silver model
Let people access their games online multiplayer for free, you can still make gold worthwhile if you do it right :)
-New IPs
This is certain to happen but idk about at launch, would love to see some creative games
-Some returning favorites
Halo 2 anniversary (or any halo game for that matter), totally buy a system for that. Huge halo fan as I'm sure some of you know. prob gunna happen in 2014 when it hits the 10th year mark.
Conker, please bring back conker! Not sure if I would want Rare to work on it or outsource it.
New Mechassault, let's face it those games are awesome.

-Price
Probably the biggest factor and the reason I don't usually buy systems at launch, keep it reasonable MS.

Do you even own a 360?

No, is that a requirement?

No I just didnt think you did.  I just can't see you getting the NeXbox at all no matter what they do lol

You'd have to think there's a reason some people prefer the PS3 over 360. If MS hit the right notes, there's nothing stopping me from picking 720 over PS4. I don't expect them to hit the right notes (my notes), though. I won't be buying a next gen console anytime soon however.

Oh i get that people have preferences.  Do you own a Wii, 3DS, or WiiU by any chance?

Don't listen to him pezus he'll try to convert you.

Not much different from the 360 (I didn't have any RRoD issues at launch, thankfully). Give me one to two good games (preferably survival horror), LIVE pricing that mirrors the 360's (less is also welcome, of course), and $399.99-$449.99 price range at the most.

Is Alan Wake considered Survival Horror? If so you might be in luck.

No online play subscriptions, new IPs, a huge jump in power, a promised better support in Europe; GTA, AC and other huge franchises exclusive.

that's a tall order. if i were Take2 or ubisoft making either one of those franchises exclusive to any console, the manufacture would have to pay me what was estimated profit i'd have made on all platforms, and they'd have to wave all licensing fees for any and all games i release on thier console for the rest of the gen.

i'd even go as fare as to have them pay the licensing fees for games i release on rival consoles.

OP: MS would have to have exclusive games that interest me other then GEARS.

Some great exclusives, reliable hardware, reasonable price and free online play.

For some odd I can't see Gears going next gen, idk why though because it obviously will.
