I started Dark Souls last month and was loving it. Got close to 20 hours in, but got deterred by a bunch of other games. I'm considering getting this, but I'm unsure for the time being. I'd love to experience the original Souls game, but there's just too many games in the first half of this year so I don't think I have the time.

Just go mage I can solo nearly every boss with a mage he is super OP in demon souls.

The best advice I can give, having played just dark souls though, is that use all your knowledge of gaming to win. "Exploits" are there on purpose so use them e.g. rinse, wash, repeat attack methods, hard-to-reach areas, sniping etc. It really is a veterans RPG. 10 thumbs up.
