What is your favortie company and why? I'm curious because sometimes I see post on here that seem so passionate in defense of their favorite console or company and I wonder where this passion came from!

I also see a lot of hate towards other companies. That, I am a little more curious about. Do you hate a console because it isn't your prefered one, or is because the conpany truly sucks. I always thought, if a system has good games, enjoy them. I know that not all of us can afford all these consoles (at the same time) but can we atleast agree that if money wasn't a factor, we would own them. I think each system has something that is really cool about it?

For me it is Nintendo. Similar to many other gamers, I grew up playing the Marios and Zeldas. So for that, Nintendo will always have a place in my heart. But I also grew up playing Sony games too. Honestly, the Playstation 2 was the first time that I really got into gaming and the competitive nature of it. Sony is also a big part of my gaming life. So that kind of explains my passion..

So please, explain your fanboyism! I would like to hear about your passion for your console!

I game on Playstation, Nintendo, and PC. My favorite between Playstation (Note: I don't say "Sony") and Nintendo depends on the generation.

I started with the SNES as a kid, and then had both the N64 and the PS1 and preferred the PS1. Then I had the Gamecube and the PS2 and preferred the Gamecube (One of my favorites of all time).

Now I have a PS3 and I share a Wii, and I do most of my gaming on the PS3. I do think the Wii was pretty gimmicky with its motion controls despite it having some really good games. The PS3 has been fantastic thanks to the exclusives and some good third party games.

I like the WiiU's potential and since the PS4 isn't out yet, then I guess it's the WiiU by default for Gen8.

I don't "hate" M$ or the Xbox. The reason I don't buy one is because they simply don't offer enough exclusives to warrant a purchase from me. I like what SCE does with variety, and I can always buy third party for my PS3 or my PC as it is. Also, they seem to just release Kinect "shovelware" all year long and then just drop a Halo during the fall to cater the hardcore, so that just wouldn't be good for me.

Most passionate - Nintendo. I just love the games they make. Zelda, Pikmin, SSB, Mario. No-one else makes games like Nintendo. Also the Gamecube is my fave console ever.

Like - Sega (for sonic, sad they stopped making consoles) & Microsoft (My former HD console of choice, until WiiU)

Not a fan of Sony. None of their exclusives have won me over to get a PS3. Had a PS1 which I liked, before I switched to Nintendo the following Gen. Plus I hated the PS2.

My favorite company is Nintendo, and probably always will be. However, favorite console as of around 2010 has been Xbox 360.

Replace 2010 with 2007 and I could not agree more, home console wise.

When it comes to handhelds, Nintendo has always had a monopoly for me.

I like Microsoft, but I'm probably most passionate about Nintendo. I also like Sony and certainly don't dislike them but have never been passionate about them because I've never owned one of their products.

Nintendo because of the nostalgia factor with Mario, Zelda, Metroid, and because 25 someodd years later they're still making great games for those franchises. Also, Nintendo brought video games back from the grave after the video game crash in the early 80's, if it wasn't for them there might not have been a ps2 or Halo as we know it!

Sega Dreamcast.. she was not my first love but surely my true love... she is the one that got away and now.. all that is left are her slutty cousins which don't exited me as she did..

Sony, all consoles had great games and exclusives, I've had no problems with any of there hardware. You pay for what you get and despite the higher price tag all there consoles delivered what I wanted and still do. CAN'T WAIT 4 THE PS4!!!!!

I have always been a MS fan. Pc&Xbox are the best. A lot of awesome western games.
