It is true. ADAPTT and Animal Aid are groups like PETA... therefore the statement is true. PETA is just more widely known.

what's funny is that that video is not even bad in any form if you learn the process behind it.

What i think is funnier is he posted the video to prove that they were aware they were being slaughtered.... but the animals were very docile. I think that videos shock factor was suppose to be the animals twitching while being strung up but from what i gather is they are electrocuted and dead before that and the twitches are post death nerve stuffs

no, that's the stun process, it nullifies the pain that follows when they cut them open to kill them. They gotta be really fast about it too, the twitching doesn't mean they are in pain, it's a response from the electric charge that's still running through their bodies, but they are completely knocked out already so their brain doesn't register any pain anymore. They also have a stun gun version for calves where you shoot them right on top of the head to stun them. Those are considered humane kills as they feel no pain when they die, the really bad ones are done without pain killing and in ghetto ass dirty areas, I hate those, not because of the pain part, but because how ghetto those operations can be which might effect the health of the people eating them. HAVE TO KEEP THAT SHIT CLEAN!

Ok thanks for clearifying.

Disney really started getting you to give human characteristics to barn yard animals havent they?
I think we should do what nature designed us to do. Humans are omnivores, hence should eat both plants and meat. I will never believe that leaving one part of this equation out is better for us, whichever one it is. Yeah, you can survive eating just plants, but I'll never believe it's better for you. Also, we have to remember that people from different races have evolved differently and have different needs in this field. Asians or people from India don't need as much meat as white people who live in a cold climate. Just look at the Eskimos, they eat meat and lard with next to no plants and are absolutely fine and healthy, cause they do what nature designed them to do. We just need to find the right balance between the two and that is all. You should think about where you're coming from, what your ancestors used to eat or in general what people eat in the climate of your origin and stick to it. Adopting a stupid ideology of other people, who come from a different part of the Earth and have evolved to a different diet is stupid and can be detrimental to your health.
At the same time I'm supporting humane treatment of animals all the way. I think hens shouldn't be kept in cages the way they are and I like the small move that EU has made recently in this field. Hope they don't stop here and keep going this way. Also animals in slaughterhouses should be killed in a way in which they do not expect that they will die in a moment. Another important thing is to increase the standards for transportation of animals. There is a lot to do and I think we should do it, but that is not a reason to quit eating meat.

If it wasn't needed we couldn't eat it nor digest it. Simple as that. And no, I won't count synthethically produced substitutes. BTW. plants as living organisms also can feel and react, they even seem to be able to "feel" pain (don't make me search a source for that statement now), yet no one feels bad about eating plants.

Its nothing got to do with Disney. As a Dog owner i can see that my dog can think for itself. I can see that my dog is smart and i bet if it could my dog would talk. Now my Dog would try to protect me and for it to do that it means it cares about me. So tell me this if my Dog has no feelings or doesnt think why would it care what happens to me? |
It does what its been trained to do since we domesticated it. Your dog only cares about you because our ancestors made it care
