It's incredibly difficult to gain all your essential vitamins and nutrients as a vegan and often times they are underweight and malnourished people.
You don't see body builders chomping down on carrots. You need protein. Best source? You guessed it! MEAT!
In the wild, it's survival of the fittest. We're the fittest. The apex predator. Top of the food chain.
At the rate we consume cow and chicken, we're heading for a food epidemic. Best to address the population issue now or start finding a more productive way to process meat.

I can make an equally impressive list of quotes from people considered smart but held wrong beliefs.... the point? just because smart men said something doesn't mean their right.
It's apart of nature to kill other animals, but the way we treat animals is just wrong. My real problem is that most animals are left in filthy, very overcrowded conditions just so we can get cheap, plentiful meat. I think the least we could do is eat less meat, so less animals are needed and all are organic. The fact that we mass produce these animals to meet our needs, isn't great either especially as we already have too many people on this planet. If anything, for a few years, food like meat or fish should be a luxury just so it can replenish in stocks. It's something that's been overdone for years now. Don't get me wrong i love meat and fish, but it's something we should sacrifice for a little while, just so the future generations can have them. Also, some great stuff can be made with just veg, rice and fruit
Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

meat has taken over as the main centerpiece for most of our meals. There is a steak house in milwaukee that serves a 10 pound steak. The point? We do need to eat less meat. A meal should be balanced and meat should be limited for a healthy diet. The OP seems to be under the impression that he needs to completely cut meat out in order to reduce health risk... But the truth is he just needs to limit meat intake and balance it out with fruits and veggies. Funny thing is he will probablly just replace the meat with wheat or soy which is just as bad being over consumed

Couldn't find a single thing in your statement that was incorrect. Very well said sir.

Funny, how predictable human beings are. |
Sorry I didn't really mean to insult you but I really found the topic to be rather funny. On a serious note though us humans eating other animals is just a natural balance we have created. Like I said earlier a large cow population could spell doom for the ozone. Every human on Earth eating veggies would also spell doom for our atmosphere. I also really don't associate the natural food chain with animal cruelty.

I CAN LIVE ALL YEAR ROUND on 10 square meters of land! DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY RESOURCES A SINGLE KG OF STEAK REQUIRES!!? (I'm screaming because you wouldn't hear me otherwise) |
I'm so happy for you that you live at a place where weather conditions or poor harvest doesn't effect you, just because you stopped eating meat, it won't change that humans will still need to develope and expand, and I'm pretty sure nobody herds for charity, animals will still die as we expand into their territories in great numbers, 8 billion and still increasing, moving right along. :)

The only way for ECO to work is to have a "population control" mode, like killing most humans.
