Anyone ever wandered in the desert irl? I wonder if the game simulates it well because it sure feels like it. Whatcha say?
Uncharted 3: The real desert strolling simulator?
XD
BUMPY BUMP!!

Day 3:
Stage 10 -
Ah Shit->Its a ghost town!
So im back! This time, I managed to lightly tap the analog backwards (going down the dune instead of up which triggers the cutscene to the desert village) and by holding up on the dpad, I was able to slowly get drake past that parameter and move freely. ..That is until he fell through the sand and was clinging ..to it XD, see above. You can see the level which is the desert village one (a rather huge one considering it actually loads from the ends of the desert, all the way to where Salim & co saves your ass. Not much I could do but yeah! Cool stuff :>
Off topic but I'm bored.
'Rub' means 'God' or 'Figure' in Arabic.
'Al' means 'the' or 'of'.
'Khali' means 'empty' or 'my uncle on my mother's side'
Rub Al Khali means God of Emptiness!

Now that I think about it. That would make perfect sense for that scene. Just Drake and nothingness or emptiness.
Kudos to Naughty dog for giving that location a suiting name in a different language.

Well well, if it isn't Aldro! Who would mess with Drake like Aldro does :P

But the location is the Rub' al Khali IRL so I guess they just named the chapter after its geographic name. And it translates to "the empty quarter".

OH! So it's Rube'e/Rub3 Al Khali! That makes more sense to me now. there's no 'ayn' in English so it's ommited.

I wish I had so much free time like you, Aldro ;)
