Infamous because I love the story and the series ended perfectly after TWO games rather than force a third. No need for a sequel and now Sucker Punch can make an awesome new launch title for PS4.

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

I was going to say mario, even though mario has had some awesome games... It just feels like everytime a play a new mario game i get a sense of deja vu, like i have played this game before...
mario needs definitely needs a break...
Diablo franchise. 3 just was a huge let down.
But i would like to see more of little big planet and Donkey kong

For quality's sake, I'd have to go with first and foremost Final Fantasy.
Although it's an easy pick and WILL end, Final Fantasy XIII
Probably Halo and Call Of Duty. Especially the latter, although it seems quite unlikely that it will ever happen.

2d Mario should end (at least for awhile now that its on every Nintendo system) but 3d Mario is still awesome but should stick to one installment on WiiU and avoid series fatigue. Also they could delay the release to 2014 so people are mega hyped for it.
