I have to say PSP ...
The PS-Vita is just to young of a system that has too many issues at this point in time to predict what kind of a future it will have. If something doesn't happen that results in sales doubling, I don't see the PS-Vita getting nearly the support or having the long life of the PSP; or being nearly as good of a system.
I really liked my Turbo Express (PC Engine GT) just for the fact that you could play all of your TG16 console games on it. Unfortunately because the system didn't have the enormous library here in the US that it enjoyed in Japan, the software for us was limited. The Nomad would have been great if the carts had been smaller and it had come out much earlier.
I'd probably have to go with the PSP. I like the Vita much more as a device but at this juncture the software isn't as good yet.
And like someone pointed out, the Game Gear and Nomad should be separate choices as they are completely different systems.
PSP. just a number of games any console should have. Vita may be better.
Well N-Gage did have glimmerati which was a awesome game but most were unplayable, including the pocket elder scrolls.
If the Vita can somehow get a good library of games in 2 years I might for Vita, but right now I'd say PSP handsdown.
It's just that simple.
