Interesting that you would go after my post but not the post of the other guy.  Why is that?

Either way, I was just mocking a really goofy, childish post.  As I said in my first post in this thread, there is no difference between the groups.  In fact, I would probably say that the fanboys of all three factions have more in common with each other than with the average customer of any of the consoles.

That is to say, the fact that someone is a fanboy at all is a more important consideration than what consoles they have.

He said he had a theory. You straight out quoted him and called him less intelligent while making an example in front of everyone. You said his post was goofy and childish, that's fine but calling someone unintelligent based off 1 post? Really?

Worlds different.

You seem to have gotten some things mixed up.  He said that Sony fans are bitter and envious.  You really don't think that's an offensive generalization?  Seriously?  In contrast, my post only called one group of fanboys less intelligent than the other groups.  I did not call him a fanboy or insult any fans in general.  You really think my post was worse?  In addition, as I've already said, my entire purpose for my reply was to mock his post.  That means, to spell it out, that what I said wasn't serious.

The really curious thing for me is that you would go after me but not him, especially when he was openly insulting every Sony fan while I was only making fun of fanboys.

I'm not getting mixed up. He stated a theory. Though it was wrong, he didn't quote and target anyone with it as you did. I could say something offensive about a random group of people then quote you in it. Just because someone can't spell also doesn't make them, or their group less intelligent.

So far Nintendo fans have picked Sony as the worst, MS fans have picked Sony fans as the worst, and Sony fans are split between picking MS and Nintendo fans as worst.

It's still early but this is starting to suggest that Sony fanboys hate everybody and are hated by everybody. That's a lot of hate going back and forth with Sony fanboys.

i see what you did there

you little devil you ;)

The Sony guys who voted either MS or Nintendo are just FANBOYS huh?

This was a well thought out trap, Kain

=P

Edit: i didn't vote

That was not my intention.

I think actually the hard core PC gamers are. Nobody has perfected the superior/condescending attitude quite like them. I'm a PC gamer but I really doubt any group really compares. Nobody else has the special combination of arrogance, superiority and exclusiveness of a hardcore PC gamer. I'm not saying that hardcore PC gamers are all like this but the few who are really take the cake.

This, times a billion

This, times a trillion when you refer it to sony fanboys.

Yay!!!

See, usually people aren't hyping a game because of potential sales, but rather because the game itself looks great. I don't see a problem with hyping games that then go on to sell less than multiple millions.

People hype a game to get other people excited for the game, movie or anything of that nature. That is what a hype man/women does, get people motivated to do something. When you see people hyping something up you expect that item or whatever it is, to be something amazing or do well. If it doesn't do well, then that hype was for no reason. I will talk about the Last of Us and God of War like nothing else, because I know they will do well. I will talk about every Nintendo First Party Franchise, because they are usually of the same name and will do well. Microsoft is on, one hand, one sided and on the other only care for shooters and that why only shooters really sell very well on their platforms. Times have changed so, my comment will be wrong.

Why back something, that you don't think or know won't do well? I personally think Sony gamers make better judgements than Microsoft gamers, but Microsoft gamers know when and how to place their hype for something. Nintendo gamers are in a league of their own and only Nintendo can keep them in check.

Why was it for "no reason". They hype it because it has great potential and looks good. Why shouldn't they back something they think will be good even though people won't agree. Should they just go with the flow like sheep and only hype up the popular stuff?

No, that's why I said they make better choices. They don't usually follow the Norm. While my post didn't reflect that, that is what I meant.

Sorry, I was completely wrong and was mentioning the wrong thing. I lost this one. Why do they stick up for a game they know is clearly missing certain things that it should have, but quick to point out other faults for another platform or game. They did it with declassified and PlayStation All-Stars, both are good, but lack the potential to be great. But I guess that is not only Sony fans, but every gamer on every platform.

I guess I  just wanted to start a conversation about nothing.

I'm cool with Sony fans, the fanboys... hell no.

I blame console gamers, they are constantly saying how expenive, hard and how much hassle it is to be a PC gamer. Which makes it easy for some PC gamers to lose perspective and start to think that all console gamers must be poor, lazy, retards in comparison. As to actual PC gamers it's all easy and to them the investment in hardware is worth it.

I mean the PC master race clearly can't be at fault as we are all perfect lol, So it must be those nasty jealous console peasants that are at fault. Now I'm off to laugh at people that play console games while jacking off to tech demoes.

  • PC gamers have the highest I.Q.
  • PC gamers have the best games.
  • PC gamers have the best controls.
  • PC gamers have the most skills.
  • PC gamers have the best multiplayer experience.
  • Etc

Is it really attitude or is it altitude above the rest?

The whole point of this poll is to shed light on the hate. I'm not interested in moderate views in the poll. I'm happy to read moderate responses in the thread, but the poll is for hate filled fanboys.

The option for moderates is to not vote. If none of the options applies to you then you are either a moderate or a PC fanboy and since this topic is for console fanboys we aren't looking for the PC elitest perspective.

If that's what you want, then cool. I was just saying you can't really draw this conclusion,

"It's still early but this is starting to suggest that Sony fanboys hate everybody and are hated by everybody. That's a lot of hate going back and forth with Sony fanboys,"

based on your poll options.

Firstly I don't think there are any Microsoft Fanboys on these forums. Fans most certainly, Trolls absolutely. For the most part they engage is reasonable discussions, but they do amuse themselves by tormenting Sony supporters on a almost daily basis. It isn't a mindless loyalty. They just know it is easy to rile them up, because yes Sony fans on these forums are terribly easy to provoke.

Secondly I do believe the majority of Sony fans on these forums are Fanboys, and that they are the worst of the lot, because they have a serious inferiority complex. Since they are almost always on the losing end as far as the sales are concerned. They rabidly defend, but too often it is just bitching, moaning, and harping. I couldn't care less if someone has a agenda, or if they pursue that agenda vigorously. That can be fun, but the same excuse getting regurgitated for the hundred thousandth time is just a eye sore.

Thirdly I do believe the majority of Nintendo fans are Fanboys, but they are well fed Fanboys. They won the last generation convincingly, and they have basically slept for a couple years. So they seem to be in a good mood, and they seem eager to engage in meaningful dialog. Microsoft fans like them more, because those that really want deep discussions can find it in Nintendo fans, and those who troll Sony fans are probably looking for more challenging prey.

I think proclaiming equality in this matter is somewhat like ducking the issue. The communities are fundamentally different in their approach, and in their outlook. These are just my opinions, but I do think Microsoft fans troll an awful lot. I do think Sony fans are a bit too quick to anger, and I think Nintendo fans were basically catatonic, and are just shaking off their cob webs. My opinion could change in time, but I mean someone has to change their whole presentation.

Why is there no option stating: "I'm a fan of all consoles and I condemn all forms of fanboyism"?
