The Xbox 360 is a western centric console. The Japanese can gain nothing from it unless they like western games. If they do, then the 720 will do fine.

consoles in general are taking a backseat to handhelds in japan and the PS3 is taking up a lot of the one console owners' quota. is there some national pride BS involved? probably...

You will eat that comment later on, we all know gta 4 has been selling better on the PS3 for a long time, and it's nearly about to catch up, and gta 5 will without a doubt sell the most on PS3.

True. Sony lost a lot of their avid buyers to Microsoft. Next gen is anyones game. We'll see where the early adopters go, because the PS3 and 360 crowd is relatively the same based on multiplatform flow.

*sigh* I'll eat my comment later? So if GTA IV outsells the X360 version that changes the fact that X360 GTA IV has been successful on the 360? That was my point at that 3rd party games does well on 360. But you go ahead and hail sony, I'm glad the game has sold 19.5 million across both platforms and who knows how much on PC. This just means the company is more successful selling across three platforms than 1 but yeah I'll eat my comment for pointing out a fact.

Japan is Nintendo nation - although what most people fail to realize here is the market outside of Japan is a lot bigger so that is a good thing, balances things out for the rest of the competitors. |
Thank you god! Someone finally said it! Sonys issues in Japan are because they are pandering to the west! Finally!

Talk about turning my comment around, and i never said gta turning into a multiplatform series was a bad thing "it was always one anyways" just saying it was sony's mistake letting it go "which it was"
Also a blatant lie because *white* is the color of death in Japan. The manga about agents of death is called "Bleach" for a reason.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Don't get so upset about it then by saying I'll eat my comment. And yes it was a mistake on Sony's part but I doubt they ever had exclusive rights to GTA IV anyways. At the most they would have got a timed axclusive which still would have been huge for Sony, but that would likely have been very expensive. GTA IV has been successful on both platforms so everybody wins.

It's hard to tell what will happen. I can't predict anything until I see both of them for myself honestly. Each gen seems to change so much that it's too hard to predict in my opinion.
