Forums - Nintendo - Wii U Question!

You can't. But your crazy anti-wifi approach is crazy. I've only used wifi for hears now and never have lag issues on anything.

Why not just leave it connected to the internet?

Because I usually leave my ethernet cable in my 360. You know, the console which actually has online games.

Wireless, another ethernet cable?

Both are not an option, and I wouldn't ask this question if they were.

Ethernet Hub

Wi-Fi isn't shit. But your connection (depending router and local interference) might be.

To solve the problem, delete your Internet connection settings. It won't search for a setting that's doesn't exist.

Spend $20-30

Get an Ethernet switch and two small Ethernet cables. Plug in your current wire to the switch incoming port and then use the two additional wires to get your X360 and Wii U both connected.

Also, the Wii U does have online games and online services so there is no reason to behave like a douche bag X360 elitist.

I don't want to spend any money on crap I don't need. And stop whining. I didn't buy my Wii U for online and it's definitely not Nintendo's focus. You Wii peasant.

The only thing I want is to disable the obnoxious auto-check for an internet connection at the Wii U's start-up. But apparantly, that is impossible.

pfft, just don't get XBL Gold for a year and you can get one easy with cables and everything!

I might get an ethernet switch.

OP, the Wii U doesn't have an ethernet port.....

There should be an option to disable Wi-Fi in the settings or maybe some parental controls to do it? I don't have a Wii U but stuff like this is standard in all Wi-Fi devices.

It has USB ports though, the Wii's ethernet adapter works just fine on Wii U.
