Do not worry about it, Turkish, WiiU will sell more than Dreamcast in Japan during its first year, unlike other consoles ^_^

Conveniently absent. Because they are both abysmal compared to WiiU (and Wii).

86,742 for PS3 first Japan week, according to VGC.

Anyway, everyone knows Japan is a handheld region. This is no surprise, luckily though those Vita sales were basically all the sales (yeah, I went there) it got anyway. I highly doubt WiiU sales nosedive like they did with you know what.

Twisting those numbers, it looks like it's the third best home console launch in Japan after the massively successful PS2 and Wii. I'm OK with this.

if you really wanna look at the numbers the vita is not even breaking 9 k a week in japan now thats sad.

Well if sales did nosedive itll be truly abysmal since the Wii U has 3 alpha tier games releasing out the bat.  Something the vita did not :-/

lol. Vita sold under 75k in its second week, for a total under 400k between its first two. Let's see how long it takes Wii U to pass Vita in Japan in an aligned launch. My guess is.... its second week.

Also, Vita was released the week before Christmas, while Wii U was released early-December, the sort of 'low point' of the Holiday season. I am curious to see if Wii U Christmas Eve week can outsell its launch week, though.
