man, all those memories seriously depressed me. the two blackest days in gaming history;

the day halo was released and put the grave stone on FPSs

and the day wow was released and officially killed pc gaming as we knew it

Halo made fps games even more popular, that is a good thing! Now developers can make fps games instead of some boring games, like shin megami for example.

The Halo paragraph made me lol

Sounds like a grumpy old man whos angry/cant understand why all the youngins are playing something he cant understand.

Note: Not a single Playstation IP listed. Cute.

cause they're not overrated.  They don't sell as well so they get frequently bashed as being bad because of that which I find hilarious because most of the bashers haven't played and only didn't try them because they weren't FPS games or a big brand name.  Also the marketing is normally non-existent or bad.

What are you even talking about?  I assume Halo, given ... you, but you do know they're talking about the game and not the franchise, right?

halo 1 and gears of war 1 were amazing, halo 2 was horrible and everything after has been overrated. Same goes for gears of war, the first one was amazing but i couldnt even finish gow2 and i have gow 3 unopened until i finish number 2.

Dragon's Lair was great for it's time.

It invented the quick time event and still looks great.

I could go off about his choice of Wii Sports as well, but what's the point? Everyone knows that it's great at what it does, though some won't admit it.

Inventing the quick time event is hardly something you'd want to brag about.

It was a big deal at the time.  You had to move up, down, left, right, or press the sword button at the precise moment in order to get the I am continuing in the game animation.  If not, you would die a miserable death.  It didn't display the button that you have to press on the screen like the more modern games.

Have you ever played Dragon's Lair?  It was animated by Don Bluth, one of the top animators at the time.

I can't say that I have. I had to do a Google search to know what the game was... how can this be overrated? I'd say it's mostly unknown.
