No it isn't a bigger chance for some, until it passes the GC it has a chance to be the "next GC".

Good, now you are starting to agree with me. The likelihood of such fate for a console is different for each manufacturer, because all of the next gen consoles will be different. The difference could be the (first party) exclusives, third party multiplatforms or lack of those, hardware or just the image which each console will get.

Are you sure you read that correctly?

I suppose I am. Granted, english is not my first language and I think it is not yours either so there might be room for misunderstandings. Let me try this the easy way.

First you implied that there is no chance of that happening, then you said there is a chance. That is where you start agreeing with me. The rest of the post was just explaining you why, in my humble opinion, the chances of each console being the next gc are not the same.

No lol just no. I said it has no chance of selling less. You said its a real possibility and then I said every console has a real possibility mocking you lol. Wow obviously english isn't your first language. Then I go on to say every console has a chance but the likely hood of the WiiU selling less than gamecube is very low.

No, you did not say that on any of the posts adressed to me. You are not very good at mocking people, aren't you?

Read my quote where you said a "real possibility to be the next GC." I said every console has a real possibility to be the next GC and then I put lol. The lol part is how you should have known i was mocking you, why would i also say a real possibility? English not being your first language is beginning to show.

Now come on, obviously I meant that you should try harder than that. Really, a lol?

In case you did not really notice, I was being facetiously complaisant.

Call of Duty is hardly carrying the 360/PS3. That would be like saying Mario carried the NES -- pretty sure the NES also had Zelda, Double Dragon, Tetris, Metroid, Contra, Final Fantasy, Megman, Castlevania, Metal Gear, Duck Tales, Ninja Turtles, ... in fact it had all the games that most people cared about.

Today for many gamers Nintendo gives them a handful on Nintendo IP (like 4-5 major ones), but for anything else they play on Playstation or XBox.

And straight ports are not going to change that perception that most gamers have. The onus is on Nintendo to bring more to the table. MS and Sony don't have anything to prove, they've earned credibility with this audience by giving them mountains worth of content, be it all the big gun third party games or even big time core internal releases like Halo, Gears, Uncharted, or God of War.

The thing is sound is there is more to this then just credibility. Sony had the credibility of pretty much everybody. It all changed and people turned to 360. That is why (despite all the nintendo and sony doom going around) I am suspecting it will be microsoft to slip up next.

There is more to this then the others releasing and it all being over. You need to look at it more realistically. Not every developer will want to jump on major power systems with 5 times the current development costs. Some are happy getting money they wasted back now.

Then you need to look at the bigger picture. Nintendo is publishing third party games now so they are making sure they are on there. And even if companies like bethesda (not that I really care about those dudes) and epic (these ones I can say yes) start coming out with excuses, nintendo will have a large fraction of the core console market in japan. That effects the overseas otaku market. Even if sony catch them there (and lets face it ms don't have a chance) if a game from capcom or namco was made as a multiplat for consoles (if ps4 had the controlling marketshare there) they would look at wii u next every time. I'm even expecting square to start it because their new engine can run on wii u. Even if it can't handle ue4.

There is simply too much playing in nintendo's favor this time for it to get as bad as wii. Maybe a gamecube situation but not wii. Iwata never promised it would be supported forever. By which I assume he means that he expects some to start making excuses.

But nintendo are being too careful this time for it to get that bad. Even if everybody left they are still publishing games. And bayonetta 2 is one case of where the others could be missing out so it goes both ways. As much as people like to dream there will never be one system which gets all the games. But that is good because if there was, we wouldn't have a choice.

Anyway I'm going to bed now. I'll check the rest of this tomorrow.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

Good you noticed it. The ref counted to 10, Phenom08 is knocked out!

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

The NES was the closest thing...that system nearly had everything.

What is the point of this thread might I ask? - no pun intended
