I wish these ports would have something, anything, that made the Wii U stand out, like higher res textures, or a higher frame rate but no. So far I am feeling underwhelmed, I was one of those people bragging about it having a Power 7 CPU last year *facepalm*. I'm having a hard time trying to justify buying a Wii U right now as opposed to upgrading my PC (5670hd -> 7870HD / 4100fx quad). No truly compelling games are out and most 3rd party games perform exactly the same or worse. |
I honestly don't know why people expect the Wii U versions to look better. I mean the games are straight ports which most weren't develop by the main team and have time and money constraints. People like to give the example of xbox to xbox 360 ports, but most need to understand that games have evolved since then. Games are bigger and more technically complex, those games require more time and manpower than 7-6 years ago. You can still argue that there are advancement in game engines and what not, but games are still getting more expensive and complicated each passing gen, regardless of game engines. Like I said before is impressive what devs were able to do with minimal (possible zero) optimization.
BTW I recommend you upgrade your PC either way :p
