Indeed it would be, seeing as MS had a $300 360 at launch more than 2 years ago.

? I wouldn't wait to buy the PS3 no matter the price, I'm waiting for MGS4 b4 I purchase it. Whether it was six hundred or three hundred, it's getting bought. Price cutting is nice, but not neccessary once you let the software speak for itself.

 Fun factor? Jogging and push-up's are rarely on peoples fun list. As is sticking out your limbs or sitting. I don't see how WiiFit is more fun than EyeToy, but then again; you and I never agree on anything...

 Dirt cheap. Even external 500GB's have dropped here from 1500NOK to about 900NOK. 900NOK barely got you an internal 320GB early last year.

I don't think it would be short-sighted at all for an investor to disagree with such a price cut. The PS3 is already beyond the point of realistically being able to make a net profit for Sony (see note below). Therefore, they must try to keep losses at a minimum from now on, and doing 3 price cuts in a timeframe of few months is either no way to do it, or a very controversial way of doing it!

Note: If you want proof of the above claim, here it is; the PS3 has already lost more money for Sony than they ever made with the PS2. There was a thread proving this, based on official data taken from Sony's fiscal reports.

LOL! I can't believe you are that blind! Wii Fit is "fun". Ha!. How is it supposed to be for families when they can't even keep the thing in stock, so one person can buy it?
