I disagree but you're welcome to your opinion on Uncharted hype. 

 

I mentioned GOW and GT5 because you said you could not remember any PS game being hyped which is clearly a bit nuts...


GT and GOW are 2 of sony's biggest games, so why should ps3 owners not be hyped for them? nobody had a problem with xbox fans going batshit over halo 4.

 


Please read the thread before jumping in feet first assuming stuff.  I don't have any problem with hype, the other poster said no Playstation games other than Killzone have been hyped which is crazy wouldn't you agree?

you cant really say the same thing. forza is heavily bundled right from the start. theres no way forza could sell 5m without bundles where as uncharted can sell 5m+ without bundles. U2 wasnt bundled much and is well on its way to 6m.

And this was available for the the better part of 2012, before the super slim bundle kicked in. Actually it says that there are only 2 left in stock on amazon.de

Hmm that's news to me. No, I will say I was wrong. But, at least it's the most expensive models that have Uncharted 3 bundled which we can assume are the least attractive models as a whole.
Don't go all "srsly, are you so proud that you can't admit you're wrong" before I have a chance to say it. At least now you've done more than you did with your first post. Would've been better to see you include all this in your post and not just come in with a hit and run post like that.

All that really does is prove both titles were bundled (Uncharted 3 a bit moreso). The fact that a franchise that started no where near Gears of War numbers to land where it is today is really saying a lot.

 


Both titles released this generation and had to build their fanbase.  What Uncharted did isn't particularly any different or special compared to Gears.  Uncharted DF sold less because it wasn't as good and it sold to a smaller fanbase.  Uncharted 2 rated better and was hyped to the hilt hence the better sales.  Uncharted 3 was good and has been heavily bundled, it says more about how important the franchise has been to Sony imo.

KillZone 2 was the only PS game i can remember that got "hyped to the hilt" over the internet

 

if anything people were completely shocked and caught off guard by how good Uncharted 2 was

 

i dont remember that much hype and i can remember that games release like it was yesterday

GT5 wasn't...at all especially at launch...and GT5 probably had 1 or 2 bundles MAX...most of the copies it sold were standalone.

The question at this point is not whether Gears will be outsold by Uncharted. The question is how much will Uncharted 3 outsell Gears 3?
