Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft Said to Plan Next Xbox Console for 2013 Holiday Season

Wait, so does this mean Microsoft are going to cut the price of 360 and launch a new system in the same year?

Lets hope the 720is developers friendly and has a normal controler.and is powerful

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

Well....ya.

In both gens, the Xbox gave its last big year with a Halo release.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

A wasted opportunity by not having an official price-cut this year.

Why? Any smart company would take extra profits to offset development costs of their next system instead of a potential 500k-1M extra current-gen consoles sold which do pretty much fuck all in marketshare.

Agreed.  They have had 'cuts' of a sort, but overall it's amazing how long they've sustained sales without an official one.  And, based on BF numbers, they still didn't really need one.  I'm just wondering what all these new owners are playing.

Bloomberg is trustworthy.

I wonder if Sony are planning on releasing their console in Q4 2013 too? It would be very interesting if they did.

Maybe they are, but I am getting tempted to call all this bull.  I saw the same article referenced here and questioned it:

The talk had been a next generation Kinect with improved motion control, holographic output and so on.  This talk now looks like Microsoft isn't doing motion control and following the Wii U.  It is suspect to me.  Well, something here is.
