What types of games do you like?

Id wait until they do something about them memory cards.

if it is a when not if let me ask you this...

do you have a 3DS, wiiU? are you planning to buy a ps4 or xbox 720 early in it's lifecycle?

depending on how you answer those i'll change my recommendation based on this ... spread out the love. if you just bought or plan to buy early the wiiU/ps4/xbox720 then i'd go for a vita now. if those purchases are to be delayed then maybe waiting for the inevitable price drop isn't such a bad idea. personally, opening a new console is a joyous experience so don't buy two at once -- it dulls the experience.

Mortal Kombat will be a nice addition as I think it has been the best fighting game in years.  But no PS+ isn't my thing so I'd still pass on it, no offense or anything.

I don't see why you should need convincing. If you didn't get it during Black Friday with the mad bundles then you must have had second thoughts for a reason. If that's the case then wait. If I'm wrong and you have the money then get one, it's simple as that. Only you can decide that really.

Yeah I own both the 3DS and WiiU and I'll most likely be buying the 720/PS4 early on if not at launch.  The difference is I trust Nintendo with both home consoles and handheld consoles, I trust microsoft with home consoles, and I trust Sony with home consoles as well.  In my honest opinion I havent been let down with any of the consoles this generation besides the PSP.  I got that thing I think in 2005 and I've only bought 1 game since then which was Metal gear Solid Peace Walker.  I just don't have confidence yet that the Vita will deliver games I like yet.

I know, but I really only want one game for it, and I already own everything I want for the PS3 although for whatever reason I still haven't made time to pick up Journey which i was hyped about that game a year before it came out.  I'll probably end up buying it pretty soon though.

-Do not buy the 3G bundle unless it becomes cheaper or something in the future (unsure if you can get across without having a sub for At&t - ask someone who has a 3G ;o?)

@JayWood2010 If you wasn't convinced to buy one on Black Friday.. I doubt you'll buy one later.. I recomend You you to wait.. but meanwhile You'll lost a lot of games on Plus... that if you don't mind digital games ...

I'd wait just a few months if I were you, just to see where the Vita will be heading.

the convincing factor depend on the games, and in the end its up to him to decide if those games appeals to him or not.
