Now if you did the painstaking job of finding out if this is the same case for 3rd party software included, then it'd be quite the fun thread.

Very easy to do.  Just subtract this number from total software sold of each of the three and you got your answer.

Because 1st party titles = all titles sold, right?

Oh, you may want to take off all the bundled games as well. I'd imagine that the tens of millions of copies of Wii Sports and Kinect Central tend to skew the numbers a bit.

Well in that case let's get rid of Gran Turismo, Forza, Infamous, Uncharted series, Fable, Little Big Planet, and well pretty much every other exclusive as they all get bundled.......

There's quite a difference between Sony/MS bundling which is almost exclusively done at holidays in select regions, and Nintendo which bundled Wii Sports year-round for quite some time.

You're probably looking at 10-15 million bundled games between MS and Sony vs. >40 million for the Wii, if not a bit more.

Its not enough to shift the statement, but I think its an important qualifier to the argument.

This is what I'm talking about with people trying to twist something around.  No it isn't that easy for one but I'm going to ignore you now.

realliy?is that the case in the US? in Europe the 360 and PS3  always have bundles through the year.. it's  harder to find a non bundle console.. for example GT5 is still bundled..  now with Uncharted 3.. every year there is a PS3 Fifa bundle.. there is always a Forza/Halo bundle.. sure the games change versions but there are always bundles in Europe..

US rarely gets bundles outside of the holidays - unless its a Kinect bundle.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

lol well I'll be damned, look at that haha Now go post a thread of that and watch more people complain about the numbers haha   You have to admit people are pretty good at complaining haha

That is really interesting though in all honesty.  I always kind of figured the 360 did best with 3rd parties.  Wii obviously would come in last because it is just not as competitive with 3rd party in major titles.

Really?  That is news to me.  Tell me then what is it I've been complaining about?  Me and you don't agree, nor do i respect most of the things you say so when it comes to your comments maybe I "complain".

Wow, talk about turning the tables. When I initially asked the question I didn't expect this at all. Guess I understand now why Nintendo was so bent out of shape in attracting the 3rd parties and the so called hardcore.

lmao Yeah.  At least they are trying to improve that part of their business, so that's good.

The drop off from LBP1 to 2 and inFamous 1 to 2 is interesting.

I'm guessing those totals are inflated by a ton of bundling on Sony's part and the second installments actually represent how popular the franchises are in actuality.

I played both LBP and Infamous, but not their sequels. Lbp got a whole lot of hype because it was so a new idea (create/share/play- full customization). Lbp2 was good, but there was no hype.

Infamous benefited from the comparison with Prototype. The former got insane hype from Sony fans because it was an exclusive (I likes it, but prefer Prototype).

In other words, I don't think that the majority of their sales should be attributed to bundling, but hype instead.
