I love it when these games fail, now everyone that hyped it as the second coming of Christ get a right hook from Kimbo Slice back down to earth, it's so glorious it brings a tear to my eye

This is off topic but Kimbo Slice is shit. Guy can't last in the UFC cause all he has are his punches. Take him to the ground and hese done.

Very true he sucks as professional fighter because of his lack of discipline and technique but as a street fighter he was a boss, and I don't think anyone would want to get punched by him which is why i used him as an example

Yeah remember me saying this game was going to flop both score and and sells wise? Not so outrageous anymore huh?

You predicted a score of 76-82, which...is not a flop

Considering the way people were hyping this game up all year long yes I see this as a flop on both sides. People were predicting this to be a multi-million seller, and honestly unless this game get's bundled itll be lucky to reach 1 million.  Im not sure what the metacritic for it is atm, around a 78 which is not a big flop but for the expectations that people had it is a bit low.  I'm not saying it is a bad game because I know people are enjoying it on here but I have stood behind my prediction since the beta.

As for scores, most people expected low 80s or even lower. Scores are a bit low, but not enough to say the scores have flopped.

I don't know about that, Maybe I just haven't read enough all stars threads but I saw the majority of people predicting an 85-90.  That I could be wrong on, just what I have seen

Dude fighting games rarely get high scores nowadays because people are trying their hardest to point out every flaw. Mortal Kombat has an 84 and Street Fight X Tekken has an 84. You have to remember this is the first fighting game that Superbot has done (that i'm aware of). If they have the chance to make a sequel I'm sure they will learn from their mistakes and improve on the game.

I believe there is a big difference between a 76 and a 84, but yes they can improve it if they make another.  If it doesn't turn in a profit though it is hard to say they will make another one.

Kimbo Slice is bad.  Over-hyped by far.

You can't escape it. When a exclusive doesn't meet hype and expectations, in come the disciples to dispel all accounts of hype that took place.

I actually own up to Halo 4 flopping. PS3 fans are making excuses when their games don't meet the hype.

Well, hyping in the low 90s and scoring in the 80s constitutes a flop.

dont know other places but halo 4 was hyped here to be a 95 plus game on metacritic

did i broke the thread? nevermind its fixed already

Definitely confusing that with the title of that thread.  Most people believed it would get between a 90-93, me included.

As Pezus said, most of the hype was from Nintendo fans hoping it would fail because of how much it looked like Smash Bros. They haven't even played the game enough to realize it's nothing like Smash Bros. The only hype for this game was the hype that it would fail. Pathetic.

pezus said that? Wow. Just how low can that guy sink?

He said most of the hype was that Sony was copying from Nintendo. Who else was saying that Sony copied Smash? I think Xbox fans could care less about All Stars vs Smash so that leaves the Nintendo fans being outraged because someone made a fighting game with Sony characters. Didn't realize Nintendo had a monopoly on the genre and were the only ones allowed to make that type of game.

I would hardly consider Halo 4 flopped when it is viewed as the best halo.  But if we are talking about metacritic then yes it was a flop as people expected higher.

its scores didn't flop tho.

It was hyped as a 70s game? Come to think of it every important PS3 exclusive this year scored in the 70s, with only MLB scoring in the 80s. Dont tell me those were all predicted accordingly.

The highest rated console exclusive of the year is a PS3 exclusive. So try again. Meanwhile, none of MS 90+ rated franchises managed a 90 this time around. Shouldn't this tell you something?

Edit: Basically, Halo 4 was hyped as an AAA rated game. It wasn't. Same for Forza.

MLB is on Vita. Ergo it is not a PS3 exclusive.FYI, MLB being the highest rated PS3 game of 2012 is not something at all to brag about...

Forza was predicted as a 80s game due to being a sprinoff. That prediction was met.

I wasn't talking about MLB. I was talking about a GOTY contender

Ah, figured it was MLB since I mentioned it before. I was refering to retail only, but perhaps I should have specified that.

But XBLA got Mark of the Ninja and Trials Evolution, both cracked 90 range. Sure Journey is GOTY material because its artsy and different, but core gamers would rather play those two games instead.

But 90+ is 90+. What number it is, is details. 90+ deserves universal praise, its all in the same camp.

My thoughts exactly. Talking purely from meta perspective

Oh some guy just posted this on N4G. According to him the chart dates for the week ENDING November 24. The game was released on November 23 in the UK. So the sales are for basically 24 hours of the games release.
