Their TV business had to go. What I read is that their TV division has received junk status, not the whole company. So, they should focus on those parts which are profitable.

Junk status?... pfft.. whatever .. the almighty powerful PS4 will pull sony out of junk status!

They simply can't make money on the PS4 and keep it competitive with the XBox 720.

Sony has the yen problem working against them too, MS can get better tech for the same amount of money Sony spends, because they're not bound by the yen/dollar fluctuations.

This is a large reason why I think the Wii U is taking a small loss, even though the hardware chipset is fairly mediocre for late 2012.

There's another status beyond Junk?

I'm seriously considering buying Sony stock. If it's worthless now I has no where to go but up and I very much expect Sony to dig themselves out of this whole. I may take them years but they will get back up on top. Buy low sell high.

And there in lies their problem. They can't afford to go toe to toe with MS this gen, and that's why we won't see a major leap in power and why Wii U will get GOOD ports.
