You also forgot that Mass Effect had also an interesting multiplayer. Most were dissapointed to hear that ME3 would get an multiplayer and most expected some crap but in the end it did turnout in something fun and addicting.

Halo 4 will also not be mine GOTY...but borderlands 2 neither...

Halo is just another Halo meaning it has great quality without much change. Borderlands two added so much more to the original Borderlands to make it better. Better characters, better guns, better and more elaborate upgrade systems, better graphics. It is one of the funniest games you will ever play.

Borderlands 2 is all about fun and it does this remarkably well while still being a fresh series. Just plain fun. I have not played the other games yet, but come on this is the 6th Halo fps not the 4th really.

I loved Mass Effect 3. It is fun. It is different than 2 and it has a great dark, yet hopefull ending. It only pales in comparison to 2 because to was ground breakingly awesome and had better character side quests.

It is silly to not nominate a good game because it is only two hours long

Halo 4 is my GOTY and Mass Effect 3 is a close second.

Personally, I am going for Mass Effect 3 to slightly edge out Journey for the GOTY. Journey is an amazing experience, but playtime alone, ME3 has at least 50x more gameplay available.

While personaly if we are going by story then I'd pick Mass Effect 3 for GoTY but however Halo 4 and Borderlands 2 not being nominated on VGA and The Walking Dead (An average game) did is what makes people upset with this list
