Forums - Gaming - This is why me an other PC gamers gets annoyed by console graphic debates

Just like Sony is put down for "copying" Nintendo, Nintendo should be put down for skimping on hardware power. I don't see a problem with it honestly, because in reality you're only comparing two to three consoles and their capabilities in a confined space. Everyone knows that including PC would be auto-loss for any console so they don't include it.

Even I call out Nintendo for missing an opportunity with the Wii, but I don't do it from a sense of superiority given the prowess of another console I'm a fan of (which wouldn't make any sense since I'm a Nintendo fan).

Heck, I get impressed by the Wii's graphics when I play games like The Last Story. Not because they're the best, but because I didn't think the console could handle such stuff (though to be fair, it struggles quite a bit to achieve it xD).

The same applies to any consoles. Like I am with the 360 and Halo 4, or the PS3 with games like Beyond, The Last of Us and God of War 3 (seriously, this game is out of this world, no matter the reasons why it was possible, it still looks and feels out of this world good :P).

Even the PC. Sometimes, I'm amazed by how well my PC manages to handle freshly released games at their highest settings without a hitch. xD

Wow dood! Photorealistic graphics! Now only if the grass wasn't growing through the rocks and the turtles back legs touched the ground.

Who cares if people compare console graphics?

This thread = douchie

Thread has went far enough. Lock it.

If you think God of War 3 looks out of this world, then just take a look at the upcoming God of War Ascension in 2013.

Well, first of all, I said nearly everyone. Next, I disclosed to Jay what I don't agree with (back to selective reading). Just because you agree with someone's point, doesn't mean you have to favor how they go about presenting it.

Point being, you don't speak on behalf of nearly everyone, you're speaking on behalf of most in this thread, many of which took part of the previous topic, which was a Sony topic. Putting the pieces together, it all seems quite unbalanced to me.

And anyways, since when is majority an indicator of truth?

Point being, I disagree with OP's call to stop discussions on graphics, but I agree with the clarification, which I posted earlier. you've been against it since the start due to assumptions of insecurity, which have yet to be substantiated in any way.

But comparisons inevitably lead to someone "winning" and thus superiority in terms of power. It's okay if I call myself more handsome than Drew, as long as I acknowledge that Peter is even more handsome than me

As long as you realize that being handsome is not the be all end all, and as long as you're not putting Doushas down for being homely, since beauty is not the end of all things ;)

Don't worry, it's on my radar already. But by what's I've seen from the videos available, I don't notice much of an upgrade from III.

Things will most likely change when I can finally play the actual game.

I really don't care what you think regarding myself as a PC/any other fan (in fact, my preferences are 100% irrelevant, but it's telling, and ironic, that you'd go there). If you look through the thread, I can speak on behalf of nearly everyone when I say this topic was born off of an insecurity. The site doesn't need to be reminded of how much more powerful PCs are to consoles, again, when the root discussion wasn't making any comparisons.

Nope, not even close.

Consoles are cheaper, you rarely have technical problems installing, playing games so its pretty much straight forward.

PC on the other hands, riddles you with this whole updating drivers, installation procedures etc. However the upside is that in terms of graphic, performance prowess the consoles never comes close. Not to mention amount of mods and tweaks from the fan community. Skyrim is a great example.

Just go over to skyrim nexus and you'll see thousands upon thousands of mods that adds way more playability and variety than even the official DLCs could only dream of.

Now over to graphics, go google skyrim enb series (or any game enb) for that matter and marvel at the visuals. Consoles cannot achieve this.
