tomorrow marks the launch of the WiiU and a lot of people are going to buy the console tomorrow or recieve theirs. it reminded me of the time i got my PS3 and how excited i was to play and open a new console. of course i had that feeling with every console i owned. so tomorrow WiiU owners will get to feel that awesome feeling!

so i made this thread to talk about the last time each member bought a console and their exprience, please no flam wars no argueing. lets keep the thread happy! My last time buying a console was back in summer 2009, i got a PS3 and the first game i played was one with one of the best graphics even to date, Killzone 2. i was literally BLOW AWAY! and i cant wait for the PS4 to have that feeling again

Latest home console I got was the Wii back in 2008. Played lots of Wii Sports with the family, Metroid Prime 3 (still can't forgive Ninty for its lack of multiplayer!!), Twilight Princess and shortly after; Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

The last memorable console launch was my Wii. I had some money saved up but most of the funds came from gifts (I had just finished high school). It was an AWESOME day, I had so much fun :) Zelda TP was AWESOME!

I've bought other consoles since then, but they weren't as exciting :p

The last gaming device I got was the Vita. The last home console was the PS3. Yeah, it's awesome. It's almost like Christmas when you get your hands on that new device. You're opening the box, setting it up, learning about the bells and whistles, and just overall excited as you enter a new world.

I've been a Nintendo gamer since I got an Nes back in 1988. It's going to be bittersweer for me because, part f me feels like this will be the last time I buy a gaming console from Nintendo. It's been a hell of a run but all good things come to an end.

My most recent one was the 3DS zelda edition earlier this year. Home console has been the 360 quite a few years ago.

lol yes you described it perfectly :P may i ask though why do you say this will be the last time you own a nintendo console? the WiiU didnt even launch yet and you decided not to own the one after it already? seems really odd
