Why do you care if Soriku or leo-j post spam just to increase their post count? It has nothing to do with you or how much you post. It seems you're more concern that they have more post count than you do than anything else. Yes, they are doing cheap posts but who cares?

Their spam takes up valuable real estate in the threads themselves and in the hot list.  I don't want to have to constantly dig through their bullshit to find interesting posts.

 How hard is it to differentiate cheap posts from valueable ones? you know who's doing it, just ignore every post done by that person. Secondly, I constantly go through threads all the time-there's always crap along with good posts. That includes fanboy remarks and troll posts, and even those post can strike up a valueable response. Nothing is perfect-but to add restrictions because of few members ruins it for everyone.

Why do you not want to crack down on spamming? What do you have against not spamming?

It's not a matter of looking at them and differentiating good from bad. I know how to do that. I shouldn't have to, however. You can't stop people from being idiots, but I see no problem in limiting the forms that their idiocy can take. There is no legitimate reason for posting multiple times within a minute. They're not possibly composing a thoughtful response in such a short time, and we shouldn't be exposed to the crap that dribbles from their mouths instead.

 The people who were spamming have been punished already. The system is fine the way it is.

 Ignore every post by that person. Hmm. Sounds like a great idea. I wonder if that could be automated.
