I have a feeling this thread isn't serious but ...

Much like movies, music, books, television and (pretty much) every form of entertainment, there is a wide range of things that people are entertained by when it comes to videogames; and depending on what you're looking for will determine whether you find certain games enjoyable or not.

People looking for a single player, online competitive multiplayer, online co-operative multiplayer, local competitive multiplayer, or local co-operative multipler experiences will have drastically different opinions of the same game even if they love the same genre. If you're looking for more of a simulation or an arcade experience you will have different reactions to the same game; or if you're looking for more of an indepth experience rather than a pick-up-n-play type of game.

So called "Hardcore" gamers don't understand the market on the whole because they judge all games based on how good of an in-depth, simulation based, online competitive multiplayer game it is; and that is not the experience that most gamers are looking for out of a game.
