Forums - Movies & TV - Have you seen Skyfall?

I thought it was a great movie. It did'nt feel as epic as casino royale,but it was way better then quatam of solace. It felt like a more personal james bond movie and I loved the fact that it went in that direction. It was long,but I never once got bored with it. I love the more serious dark tone of the daniel craig movies. First day buy,when it comes out on blu-ray. 9/10 for me.

it was good..but my expectations were higher..didn't lived up to James Bond style movies..
In my opinion Bond movies can really show off cool gadgets and action scenes but this focused on story and bond vs villain - one on one action scenes which i believe is better suited to normal action flicks.

I didn't saw Quantum.. so don't know how it was..
Casino Royale was awesome.. it didn't have gadgets but there were still awesome moments( foot chase in beginning, Poker ) in it..and there was none in Skyfall.

It was shit, to much non-sense I didn't stay till the end I went and watch a brick wall, it was more interesting

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I thought it was good. Daniel Craig is 3 for 3 imo.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

I liked it,I didn't care much for the Bond girl this time which is a shame and she didn't get much screen time and they could've put a bit more action in there but the story was great as was the charecter of M

I'm back from the cinema. I think this was by far the best Daniel Craig Bond movie to date, which makes it ok overall since I absolutely detest the other two. I liked the villain but I wanted to see some more of him. The ending was completely fucked up imho. They got to a point where they should have faded out but they kept going into a cheesy teethgrinding finally that was absolutely not necessary. The whole thing after the death scene is unnecessary and the "my name is moneypenny" part was "cool story, sis, I hate you, please die, like, now".

I also think that the new movies are a sensory overload. The olden Bond movies always had one or three scenes that were really memorable but the newer movies have amazing set pieces every 5 minutes and after an hour or so I found myself being indifferent or blunted (dulled, is that a word?) for every new spectacle they throw at you.

It's a good popcorn flick but I think I won't remember much in 2 or 3 days. Which happened with every new bond movie as of late, except quantum of solace. I never got this movie in the first place.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

It's my all time favorite bond film and villain. I can't wait to buy it on blu ray when it comes out.

I'd go with casino>skyfall>solace.

Really like Silva... but I think he was left underutilized at the end. He turned into an typical villain; hunt down the hero and kill him with a group of thugs. I think they could have left him alive for a sequel and make him a more dangerous threat to Bond!
