This is brilliant news. Not sure if I want to ruin any of the story tough. I played the mgs2 demo and wished I had'nt. So I will be in two minds aaarghh. This is one of my top 4 for the entire generation on all consoles

I was expecting a MGS online beta, if anything, but a demo is just as good.

 The beta for MGO started in Japan months ago.

That will be so awesome if they do release a demo, and I have an idea that the demo would get a bit of play from me. :)

I hope this demo drops soon. I'm eager to see how the new control system works. I absolutely despised the control system in MGS2 & 3.

My fingers still recoil in horror at the memory of having to learn the button-mash required to peek around corners in MGS2.  Though in fairness to MGS3, the Subsistence version did fix that game's camera issues.

Looks like MGS4 has finally fixed the four biggest problems the franchise always had -- plots gone loopy, controls gone berserk (the crouch button - GAAAAAHHHH), camera perspective, and horrible pop music. All blessedly gone. Bring on the demo! Hopefully Ryan Payton will say something about this on his next podcast. 

Awesome. I'm going to have to go to my friend's house to play the PS3 next month. I haven't played the PS3 since about a month after launch.

If this is true, i will be first inline to download this game, not a big fan of the controls and camera of the other ones, but it looks like they fixed it for this one.

I'd love to get my hands on this demo and see what it feels like.
