If you want to know my thoughts, read the review I wrote that I've linked to in my sig.

In short though, Lost Odyssey is the first JRPG I've ever gone through from start to end besides Pokemon. It has created a thirst for Japanese style games in me that has lead to me getting into Zelda, buying Binary Domain, craving the time to play Dragon's Dogma, and even getting me into other JRPGs like Tales of the Abyss (and now the FF franchise). For me personally it's an absolutely amazing game and made me re-think my gaming tastes. Whether it's worth getting an entire console for is something for you to decide though. I wouldn't buy a console for 1 game, but then again I'm a hypocrite. I've had a Vita for 5 months and don't own anything for it yet. Come on Soul Sacrifice!

Thats a great review! I like the look of the characters they look so badass!

I also have a Vita and am waiting for SS :D

A console is never worth it just for one game. That said, there are plenty of games worth it on the 360 to get.

Also, as with buying any second-hand console, I would make sure there's some kind of warranty on that 360 and make sure it can actually connect to Live. For all you know the previous owner could have either been banned and got his console banned in the process or he could have gotten a red ring and then did the towel trick to make a temporary band-aid so he could sell it as working.

Thanks for the heads up that didn't even cross my mind :O the only warrenty they offer at second hand stores is 30 days money back :S

The only reason I wanna go second hand is cause I can't pay full retail price on a console for a 1 or 2 games but secondhand is affordable.

I don't think so. The first 2 discs are quite slow. It's really great after that.

It's great, but not transcendant imo, no single JRPG on console this gen is worth buying a console for. (except maybe demon soul's, before dark soul's came out :P).

However if there are other good games on 360 you want, and another great exclusive JRPG on 360 is tales of Vesparia. And if anything else on xbox interests you then yes.

But if you do, make sure it's not one of the original design ones. I've gone through 2 of those before getting the black redesign (1 new, 1 replacement). Even with the 30 day warranty I think its a bad idea unless you don't care if it craps out in a few months.

Those two things coupled together I'd say no for 1-2 games. But that's me.

I've never played any of the Tales series, Vesparia didn't look to bad either I just forgot it existed lol
