Finally a review for AC3 WiiU, although it's from IGN.
It seems they simply copied the main review and added 1 extra paragraph, I guess no difference? Not even the load times are better?

Playing Assassin's Creed III on Wii U's Game Pad is a tad disappointing -- it looks a bit low-res compared to other console ports. If you use the Game Pad as a support device, the helpful mini-map gives you a solid look at a large local space, identifying enemy, poster, and objective locations in your hands. Pressing the touch-screen to whistle for your horse means keeping two weapons in Connor's weapon slots, so that's a worthwhile convenience. Beyond that, Assassin's Creed III for Wii U is functionally identical to the original.

It does sound pretty cool that you can have a full size map in your hand at all times. Although I might just end up navigating the little triangle on the controller screen and not bother to look at the main screen anymore. I already do that with games with on screen mini map sometimes, tune out the actual world and 'play' on the map :)

Slightly better then ps3, slightly worse then 360. Gamepad use is a mixed blessing. A useful but a bit too revealing map and touchscreen buttons for easy weapon switching, but it doesn't pause the action and you have to look away from the screen ofcourse.
The best thing is that you can plot a course on the map for your AI characters.
