Forums - Politics - 2012 Election Center: The Main Event - Obama Wins

Of the two main candidates for president, who will win?

Barack Obama 245 75.85%

Mitt Romney 73 22.60%

Total:318

you know what would be interesting is they actually tie in the electoral college. It is a possibility, even though the chances of it happening are minuscule.

That would set up a romney presidency with a vice president of joe biden. That would make for a very interesting administration...

The polls say Obama.

Malstrom says Romney.

So... Romney?

Malstrom thinks Romney breaks into the blue ocean?

He lives in Texas. He thinks that there is a wave of popular anger over the economy that will cause Romney to win places like PA and OH regardless of what the polls say.

He also thought for sure Obama was going to lose in 2008, lol.

Well to be fair to malstrom, there is a wave of anger over the economy, it just affects about 30% of the population, or in other words, the republicans

The odd thing is that the most reliable voting blocks for the Democrat party are also the people who have had the hardest time in this economy ...

Good social welfare would be temporary and transition people to be successful and independent ...

People voting to preserve or expand social welfare programs that they have been dependent on for a long period of time is a sign of an abysmal social welfare system.

My personal prediction for tuesday is this. I think Obama will win 281 to 257. Obama will win Nevada, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio, and New hampshire. Romney will win colorado, virgina, north carolina, and Florida.

I think Obama will win colorado because of Obama winning Ohio demoralizing some colorado republicans.
