Yeah, I reckon the game will be amazing, however, the story concerns me too, since it's before he went after all the gods... I assume he'll be killing other mythological beings instead, maybe Charybdis? Although that'd be sort of impossible since y'know... Charybdis is a whirlpool, what's he gonna' do, stab the water? I guess it could work, if Adele can set fire to the rain, surely Kratos can stab the sea to death lol :P

This is a prequel and hes much younger here.

... Yeah, I know it's a prequel, what does that have to do with what I said? :P

What about the giants or the deities of the land, sky and water?

Hope you can switch weapons on the fly for larger combos like in GoW3.

It seems they're going back to the smaller scale of GoW1 and 2 due to people's complaints with 3s convoluted story. No idea how that makes sense but that's what I've inferred from gameplay footage.

You can infer a lot from gameplay footage : )

In all seriousness, I didn't think GoW 3 was larger scale in terms of the core gameplay. Now, some of the boss fights had a larger scale, but on average, I think GoW 2 & 3 were quite comparable in terms of scope. The big jump, at least to me, was between GoW 1 & 2.

Are you kidding? The first fight in GoW3 has them dump 20 enemies at once on you just to show off the games expanded scale.

That's true, but I don't think putting more enemies on screen makes it larger scale. The boss fights show off the scale much more, and I did say "on average". GoW 3 has quite a few moments where it has large scale fights, but it also scales back this scope in a lot of instance (just one or two enemies on screen at once & some comparably tame boss fights), hence, why I said "on average, I think GoW 2 & 3 were quite comparable in terms of scope."

Played some moar. I love doing square + square, then mashing circle and having Kratos do 3 punches x'D.
