What about the giants or the deities of the land, sky and water?

You can infer a lot from gameplay footage : ) In all seriousness, I didn't think GoW 3 was larger scale in terms of the core gameplay. Now, some of the boss fights had a larger scale, but on average, I think GoW 2 & 3 were quite comparable in terms of scope. The big jump, at least to me, was between GoW 1 & 2. |
Are you kidding? The first fight in GoW3 has them dump 20 enemies at once on you just to show off the games expanded scale.

That's true, but I don't think putting more enemies on screen makes it larger scale. The boss fights show off the scale much more, and I did say "on average". GoW 3 has quite a few moments where it has large scale fights, but it also scales back this scope in a lot of instance (just one or two enemies on screen at once & some comparably tame boss fights), hence, why I said "on average, I think GoW 2 & 3 were quite comparable in terms of scope."
Played some moar. I love doing square + square, then mashing circle and having Kratos do 3 punches x'D.
