What are some things that everyone knows and understands and that are obvious as fuck but that your dumb brain took ages to figure out?

 

For me: the buttons you use to call lifts (elevators). I always thought that the down arrow indicated that I wanted the lift to come down, so I'd push the button if the lift was on a floor above mine. A couple of years ago (I'm 25) I figured out that it meant I want to go down.

 

I felt so stupid.

i figured that out when i was like 15 im now 30 and feel more dumb

I must be even dumber than I thought because I don't understand you.

What you do mean you feel more dumb? More than me? More than before? And why?

Sorry but LOL. Gaming related I did not know what the analog button on the PS2 controllers did until about 2 months ago and I have had the console since 2001.
