Forums - Microsoft - Windows 8 Pc/Laptop/Tablets best deals ?

Ok im buying a new Pc and a Tablet and i want one with Windows 8 since those are the big deal and will be the best selling and with most apps and stuff BUT i need a good deal because im lacking money because College!

So any pro here knows what are the best deals for Pcs or laptops ? i´m willing to spend 800 euros on the Pc and not over 550 euroso n a Tablet, i know Surface looks awesome but the 64gb is 699euros i think that way too much.

I want a Pc or laptop that can run games like Crysis 3 or BF3.

The Tablet i dont care about the power.

If you want a PC that plays the games you mentioned well, I'd suggest you go for a desktop PC instead of a laptop. You don't need the portability anyway if you're going to buy a tablet as well. In that case, you should not buy a branded PC, but try to look for stores with good prices for parts. 800 euros should be good for a pretty powerful PC.

How powerfull ??

what about W8 Tablets i dont know any besides Surface but i know there are alot.

Pezus is right, if you want value for money when it comes to gaming then you should really consider a custom desktop PC. Most sites do motherboard bundles if you don't fancy building it too much. 800 euros will get you a very good PC capable of playing all games comfortably on max settings whereas a similar priced laptop would mean major compromises on both Crysis 3 and Battlefield 3 just to get them to run. Not sure I'd recommend Windows 8 on desktop however as by all accounts it needs a touch device to shine.

If you want a new PC, by all means go ahead with Windows 8.

For a desktop user, the only thing that is different from 7 is the replacement of the start menu by the start screen with tiles, and I would say that after a week or two you will get very use to it and it s as efficient as the start menu. Eveything else s the same or even better have been improved. I'm using my Steam games with my Windows 8 since september and there is no differences at all (performance and feature wise). The desktop is still there with the same exact options than before (pinning and toolbar). Also if you plan to buy a Windows 8 tablet, Windows 8 will let you run those apps on the desktop too; which is kinda cool :) you do need a touch screen to enjoy t at all.

OP: For the tablet, other OEM will come out with several Windows 8 tablets in the coming weeks at a less expensive price tag than Microsft's Surface.

You can get Windows 8 pro for $68 on amazon.  $130 off.

P.S. build your own desktop. Don't get a notebook. You will want to upgrade in the future.

I concur with Jay. Going with a laptop is just locking you down for future upgrades (and you will need them ;))

If you are buying windows 8 pc and windows 8 tablet, why buy an android phone?
I have a Nokia Lumia 900 and it's great! And the phone now only goes for $49.
If you wait a little you can get Nokia Lumia 920 with windows 8 and possibly the best camera on a cell phone.
I will be upgrading to Lumia 920
