I'm sorry but America should have to pay the petrol rates, us Europeans are expected to pay.

£1.40 a litre x $1.60 (exchange rate between £ and $) x a US gallon (3.8 litres i think)

That would be $2.25 a litre, so $8.55 a gallon. Not fair at all, when Americans pay only $3.50 on average per gallon. Not only that, they use the most petrol out of anyone in the world per capita. The price gap in petrol prices between countries needs to be smaller, it's to wide now.

Finally, I doubt Obama has anything to do with it either.

Fairness has nothing to do with it.

Here's another one of these graphics, this time for the UK. Unleaded, last July:

It's just goes to show how rediculous tax can get, when it is 150% above the actual product price. That duty needs to go way down to at least 30p per litre. Either that or the government at least clearly tells us where the money collected from fuel duty and VAT goes towards. We just need transparency now.

But, petrol prices and insurance prices now really are putting me off from learning to drive! I want to but i wouldn't be able to afford it, for a couple years, it's just stupidly expensive to drive in the UK now, it might as well be another thing, only the rich can do.

Obama will win because he is the better candidate and not some crazy elitist who hates about half of America.

Gas has fallen by 30 cents in my area over the last month (Fort Worth, Texas). But even if gas was down by 2 dollars I still doubt that Obama could win in Texas. Jimmy Carter in 1976 was the last Democrat to win in Texas.
