sweet. Yeah, I'll probably wait another 6 months or so and wait for prices to drop, then go out and blow some money on ram first (just cause it will be cheap) then a graphics card. really I'm just looking for a game to give me an excuse to upgrade. I wonder what the specs on Starcraft 2 will be....

I love my little PC, along with my wii it's gaming heaven.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

While the zombie side sounds very fun...I think the most well-rounded, exciting and intense experiences will be on the survivor side...that's what I'm looking forward to the most.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Consider this:  I think your system with the 2GB of ram and an 8800 GT would play Crysis at high settings in XP (DX9) at about 40-45 FPS avg (which is playable) so it should be fine on Starcraft 2.  I think you would be set for a while =)

Granted I don't know exactly what your processor is but if its dual core and 2.8Ghz it would have to be something pretty off brand or odd not to be sufficient for these apps.  Crysis is pretty much the only game that might end up CPU bound in your rig. But really nobody expects their rg to yawn at Crysis right now...or in 6 months lol.

In short, fret not, you're in good shape sir =)

Yeah I am pretty sure the replayability is going to be strongest on the survivor side due to the benefits of "The Director"...an asset that doesn't translate well to the Infected side. When you think about it though it will impact the pacing of their attacks as they try to use hordes of zombies as cover but its just not the same thing when you're waiting for an opportunity vs praying you don't get mobbed by a horde of flesh-eating zombies...those feelings are in completely different leagues in terms of intensity.
