I don't think I am desperate when I come with hard facts and predictions grounded in reason.

5% or slightly above in marketshare in 2013 will still be seen as a failure for Windows tablets. Only 1/10th of Apple.

What are you truing to achieve here ?? LOL

ofc it wont get 100000% market share mainly because ipad has been available for years so its normal they have sold trilions of those things... Windows Tablets will steal marketshare and over the years will reign supreme. Not in the 1st year ofc althought they will easilly outsell all the ipads next year. But wont outsell Ipad LT sales in the 1st year, thats impossible. But it will happen, i give it 3 years (max) to that happen.

it will look something like this in the future:

Windows Tablets >>> Android Tablets >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ipad.

Make sure you get ready to be sad... very sad because Microsoft will own everything in just a few years...

I just want to remind people that this is not about iPad vs. Surface. It's about iPad vs. Windows tablets in general. I honestly don't think it will be too long before Windows tablets overtake iOS tablets. The PC industry is just too huge. It'll really start hitting home when you start seeing people jailbreak their iPad/iphone or root any Android tablet with... a Windows tablet.

I went out to pick up a copy of Windows 8 on Friday morning. The store I bought it at still hadn't even bothered to put out any stock yet and when I returned it at 4:00 in the afternoon I was still the only one who had purchased a copy.

Ahh, a reasonable post.  And I agree.  I really like it, but tablets are luxury devices imo.  I don't see the need of 3 devices in my life.  The Pro could be great, though, if I didn't already buy an i7 laptop about 15 months ago that is beast.  We'll see ...
