Forums - Gaming - Is ZombiU Wii U's killer app?

Should we trust IGN or Ubisoft pay them? lol. Anyway it still looks amazing

Wii Sports style killer app? Heavens no.

Wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a bigger-than-people expected success, though. Like say, Demon's Souls. So long as people's expectations aren't too high to begin with.

God IGN's player is shit.

sounds promising! might get this day one now!

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Killer app for attracting a more hobbyist userbase? Yes, it's pretty much the closest thing to that right now. All other big third party offerings are either ports or more mainstream titles.

I think it really could be. I was at New York Comic Con a couple weeks ago, and I can tell you ZombiU was easily the most popular attraction at the Nintendo booth. This is a true survival horror game that gives players something Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead can't. Plus the online multiplayer will make it even more appealing. I could see a lot of Nintendo skeptics biting the bullet and investing in a Wii U only for ZombiU.

I'ts a killer app for core gamers, not the the casuals. So far the game have gotten only positive comments, except some control issues (which apparently have been fixed). So I do have high hopes for the game based on previews and hands-on. This game won't be the next Red Steel.

And yes the IGN player sucks lol.

it could be. I know I pre-ordered it. It probably won't be a multi-million seller but I think it can break 1 million if the reviews are anything like Demon's Souls reviews.

If they paid, they paid big, because the guy sounds like he's crying from emotion in the video!

Though the game does not interest me, the better the game is received, the more it sells = 3rd party support for Wii U :)
