I just joined the stream. Did they specify the RT vs Win 8 differences yet?

Yes!

What are they?  I missed that part I believe

3rd Party App Situation!

So the third party app situation, out of the gate, is the biggest issue I can see with Windows RT. Obviously, with ARM processors, typical x86 legacy programs are out, so you’re forced to rely exclusively on the Windows Store for third-party applications. Within the Windows Store itself, almost all of the applications are compatible with both x86 and ARM architectures - Microsoft claims around 90% off the apps on the Windows Store at launch are compatible with both Windows 8 and Windows RT, and it appears that a lot of developers will be releasing applications on the Store for both platforms simultaneously.

Anandtech Windows RT review.

Hmm, interesting.  I won't be upgrading in Windows 8 just yet but when I do just want to make sure I get ther best i can.

Around the Network

They mentioned the difference between Windows RT and Windows 8. And the only difference is that Windows RT does not run legacy apps. Something we knew six months ago. Otherwise, it will run pretty much all W8 metro apps just the same. They also mentioned that Windows RT (like Windows 8) will be able to accept pretty much all USB peripherals already on the market.

Seriously, if people want to run legacy apps, they know what to get. It doesn't necessarily have to be a Surface. They showed some freaking amazing X86 tablets and some amazing hardware in all types of sizes. I personally liked the Lenovo (I think it was that) tablet, small (looked like an iPad Mini), and it's a full blown X86 tablet! Really some cool form factors.

That's the thing, both W8 and WRT have access to the same exact Store. So developers do not need to release apps for both platforms simultaneously. They just have to release them to the Store.

Is there a link that has pics/info of the new products?

Even though they share content, app stores won't be exactly the same.

I've found about 5metro apps which are on x86 and not on arm so far. Mostly games and google search for some reason.

Also x86 app store lists desktop programs too. I found trekkn vs street ighter "app" which just takes you to capcoms download page for the game.
