Sony should stick to game footage commercials. They are light years behind MS in live action advertising

Which further proves Sony is light years behind MS in live action advertising.

More like proves they are light years ahead, especially if you include their adverts for their movies

Apples and oranges with their movie division. That one ad is their very best over 6 years. Doesn't compare to the Believe ad, ODST, Reach, and Scanned

Lol of course microsoft will put a lot of money into a Halo ad. It's one of their FEW selling exclusives. Give me a break dude. If sony wanted to go all out they could easily do it seeing as they have Sony Pictures. Don't be such a blind fanboy.

Hey excuses dont take away the facts. Sony had 6 years to go "all out" and the best they came up with was a 2 minute ad Long Live Play

The best they came up with is one of the greatest ads in the history of video games.

My how standards have dropped. I will assume offcourse you mean greatest ads in the history of Playstation ads.

That's probably the most bias thing I have ever heard....at least put "in my opinion" lol.

Its not that hard to make a high budget commercial about spartan soldiers nor imagination. This commercial was far lower in budget and thought process. Dont underestimate Sonys ability to make films. Thats why they have Sony pictures.

Thats very ignorant considering Halo lore goes way deeper then what the casual non Halo gamer assumes about its story.

MS just makes it look easy but it is by no means easy.

Bull. Halo isn't expanding the view of Sci-fi. If anyone could make a live action movie of all the top Sony characters and it was actually great they deserve a damn medal. The code for a Halo-type movie has long since been cracked since Starship Troopers.

Expanding scifi? I meant expanding the lore within halo itself. Space marine movies like your example tend to be cheesy. A pure Halo movie would convey seriousness and depth, as glimpsed by Forward Unto Dawn.

I stand by my origional point.

"A pure halo movie would convey seriousness and depth", that's really just a matter of opinion. Let's not forget that Forward Unto Dawn was a less than an hour long. If they made a movie they would have to make it longer (at least 1 hour 30 minutes) which could ruin the "seriousness and depth".

It's not my opinion it is the greatest live action video game ad of all time. Not only does it include first party characters from sony but it also has third party characters such as ghost (MW2) and Agent 47 (Hitman). It's got a ton of iconic characters in a single ad therefore making it mass appeal to a large variety of viewers which ultimatly makes it one of the greatest video game ads of all time.

There's nothing as "the greatest" ad of all time. It is and will always be a matter of opinion, not every single gamer in world liked that ad, thus it can't be the greatest of all time. And you can't say those people are wrong because that will be even more bias.

Usually when I hear that underline, it means "im wrong but it isnt fact so im not totally wrong".When all professional critiques of the web series so far have all been positive and the fans love it, it gets as close to fact as one can get.

The Bluray release is 90 minutes....aka An hour and 30 minutes.

So basically you get some actors to dress up in costumes and hang out at a bar = greatest ad of all time.

Right.

Its the best PS ad, but thats where the train stops. Sorry.

lol why is everyone expecting a sensible argument from SALES2099!? You guys are wasting your time

and for the record since most people seems to miss the point..this was NOT a commercial..this was just a short film made by the Michael creator. Will they use this as a commercial later on? Who knows. But they specifically call it a short film in the reveal
