Is this a serious thread?
You're making a thread only about 3rd party non-downloadable, non-exclusive games lineup??
Talk about negativity...

Furthermore, I believe it was mentioned by sony themselves that they see the vita as a portable home console, so of course there are going to be ports, because it can handle them. Why would a dev make a game vita exclusive when the quality is already so high that it could easily just be put on ps3 as well? Why does any of this matter when it's still getting games?

Then Sony's plan is not working.

For two reasons: 1 - it's not close (or near close) to official sales prediction. Suhei Yoshida himself said Vita support is not not exactly good - having great difficult convincing third parties.

The games now were being made a long time ago, don't you agree? Like I said, if those two items were not a problem, no system would ever have problems or in the end, die.

Vita's sales are horrible, we know. Things will get better after its first holiday though. Lots of great games coming.

Guys, I'm going to end here with just one note. Well, I think there's a problem, big one too, whoever don't, feel free to disagree, but stop telling me not to say it. My final say is this:

Vita had a Vita game heaven in february last year - left a lot of people disappointed. Then after 4 months another one was promised, lots of speculation. This time it couldn't fail! ...Didn't happen. Then when all eyes were on it at TGS, it couldn't fail whatsoever, Sony was TGS king and this time alone in the spotlight... and the biggest game was a PSP port... A PSP PORT.

Well, you can see this whatever you want, really, but don't say I can't see it as a bad sign.

Well the 3DS is the dominant handheld right now(by far). It's not surprising that Vita is the one getting the least amount of support....

Add to that the fact that the PSP is still getting amazing 3rd party support in Japan.

There's Vita's problem, strong competition not only from the 3DS but from the PSP.

ugh yeah..that links proves that unlike you I keep it even..when sony messes up I call it..did it for E3 and TGS..also on games like Book of memories at reveal (I say reveal cuz apparently I was wrong and it is in fact a pretty decent titles) and also on some choices made by superbot

Unlike you I also have a system..and genunely care for its future

Unlike you I'm VERY content with the line up..cuz unlike you I understand the localization track record for vita has been awesome...and as I mentioned I know there are already announced 3rd party exclusives which will be joined by others next year..I also know a lot of such titles got revealed this year...and are getting released this year...I also think some of these multiplats will be excellent fits for on the go entertainment

seriously drop this stupid act would you..you don't give a shit about vita if it comes back and hit you in the face. Seriously ..where is your love for portables displayed through your countless threads about the great games the system has gotten or are getting? Where are they?

If you want to you can call this thread a vitas lack of BIG title support in Japan..then I would agree...and I would also say redundant since it's a topic discussed to death by now. The western line up is not bad at all...especially with more to be revealed..for example we know Rockstar is making games for vita but we have no clue what they are yet. We know multple sources claiming Type-0 is being localized for vita as well..chances are they are waiting until the userbase is big enough to release them...mid/end next year I'm assuming.

again...why are we dancing around this whole thing? Stop this silly act already..it's tiresome.

Lastly I say this...I am an accountant..so working with numbers is something I do every day...even then I don't give a shit about sales..at least not to the extent some of you seems to. Cuz at the end of the day..I'm a gamer with no stock in Sony. As long as I get the games and we ARE getting some great games, I will be more than happy.

Not an act, in fact, I think the PSP for example was amazing (precisely for lacking the problems Vita is having - remember MGS, Monster Hunter, Final Fantasies, all exclusives - among literally hundreds more, right from the bat). I was a little pissed of with it dying and keep a lot of games unreleased in the west - so do you I assume - but it's back catalogue makes up for this - and then some more.

Pardon me to like companies like Level 5, Capcom, Square, Atlus and not being like Ryuzaki - who likes Hatune Miku and AKB! - or badgenome who loves niche games like earth defense force. I played persona 4 to hell - not for me now, as I didn't replayed even my favorite jrpg ever, but great addition to vita's library, but still not "exclusive". I think the market generally agrees with me, or else vita sales wouldn't be like that, even with the high price (which is not that high). Vita was not meant to sell like that (sales forecasts) and that always have consequences - or else no system would ever fail

I (and most everyone) hate long discussions, I don't even know what I'm typing, really, it's useless, as no one wins these. That was my  opinion - I just think Vita's support will start very poor in 2013 and that can affect both sales and future support - as other platforms won't stop growing. Put yours, as you did and ok, I accept it, why would I change it, even if I could.

yes ..I really don't know what you are talking/typing about anymore either

I'll be frank here (might as well lol..was frank in the past few posts already)...the speed at which you are moving goal posts are making my head spin! so we are ignoring first party games, ports, 3rd party downloadable titles, and now...games outside of Japan! Make up your mind already

and no...you should like the GAMES they make and not the brand name so to speak. The companies you mentioned make shitty games just like everyone else. And seriously...out of Japan the games you could think of was Miku and AKB!? There is a reason why I said 'big hitters' in my earlier post cuz quality titles are definitely coming in...from japan and also from the west

and damn it I will say this again...let's seriously not pretend here. Cuz it clearly shows despite how much you want to deny it. Why even give a shit when you know the line up is solid even now and even in the future. So I ask again..where are your threads about the plathora of nice games being released for vita now?

Sorry not buying any of this but I do care bs...I really didn't want to even call anyone out on this but I kinda had enough.

Vic you are aware that nearly 90 days into next year will still be in vitas first year, correct?
The sales will pick up as the games come out. It really has nothing to do with them being "nonports" or "3rd party"
Wii never had a single successgul third party exclusive game.
when those games come out, sales will increase, which will help devs want to make more games.

Ps3 didnt have any big 3rd party exclusives either except gta4 which came out many months after release.

You must have missed E3 and Gamescom where there were lots of Vita games announced and TGS had quite a few as well.

It doesn't really matter, the light of this thread has been seen and confronted from the ones that do care about the system. The ones who are interested in the future of this handheld, because it does have a bright future. It just needs advertised.

Sony has been building up their first party talent, because they knew a long time ago that they couldn't rely on third parties. 3rd parties have to do what is best for business, because they don't call the shots on the hardware. So every decision counts to them. One wrong move can end their company at this point of development costs.

The First and Second party titles are coming, there are third party titles coming. For 2013. If the games that are out now haven't swayed you to at least respect the system, then it likely won't do it the first couple of months of 2013.

Until then, there is Ragnarok Odyssey, Persona 4, PlayStation All-Stars, Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, KillZone, Assassin's Creed, LittleBigPlanet, BioShock, Call of Duty, Soul Sacrifice and countless other titles that will be doing just fine.

Digitally the Vita is very strong. Getting about 5 to 10 games every single week. From the traditional PlayStation Store and now adding PlayStation Mobile to mix that number will increase. Plus LittleBigPlanet Vita grants countless games as well.

Vita haz no vita *shrugs*

I fail to see why it matters where the games come from next year( you specified 3rd Party) when there are still plenty of games period coming next year for the system, exclusives included. I am sure 3rd Parties will have some games to push out for Vita next year but they are already releasing Assassin's Creed III: Liberations and Call of Duty: Declassified......2 of the biggest 3rd party franchises period, and they are exclusives. Next year looks to be many great 1st party titles for Vita. Some retail, some downloadable but nevertheless...games!
-TearAway (1st) EXCLUSIVE!
-KIllzone: Mercenaries (1st) EXCLUSIVE!
-Ys Celesta (3rd)
-Soul Sacrifice (1st) EXCLUSIVE!
-Bioshock Vita(3rd but who knows when this will release) EXCLUSIVE
-God Eater 2 (3rd)
-Picotto Knights (3rd) EXCLUSIVE!
-Valhalla Knights 3 (3rd) EXCLUSIVE!
-Warrior's Lair (1st)
-Sly 4 (1st)

Looks like a great line up to me, for both 1st and 3rd Party, and many pure exclusives as well. This isn't even including the plethera of Downloadable titles coming as well. I am personally very happy that many of them are RPGs! :D

It doesnt matter. Vic is just biased.
This is a guy who literally cared nothing about monster hunter until it wasnt also announced for vita. The man has literally never played monster hunter (which he admitted after once saying that he had in fact played for an hou once) and yet is the same person who posts, in truth, the MOST monster hunter news on the forum.
We'll see what happens when mh comes out for nintendo.

The truth of the matter is there is nothing wrong with Vita's library, current or future. Its biggest hurdles lie with it's price and general hate peddled against it in the media. They need a Price drop and an aggressive Marketing Strategy. The system is well worth it's asking price(especially when you think that the system costs $190 with bundled game and memory card) but due to 3DS's radical price cut everyone just expects Vita should do the same. It reminds me of PS3 all over again with the "PS3 haez no GAEMZ!" and "Too Expensive!" mantra that kept going way past the point of being truthful once PS3 had the most exclusives and same price as 360.

I made a poll not too long ago about what was the biggest reason many haven't picked up a Vita yet, and the winner was Price. No amount of 3rd Party or 1st is going to change this unfortunately.
